How Early Can You Have a PLanning Session

HI

I really would like to have a planning session, but we may not be able to get over there before our wedding in May.

However - i have some free time and found some really good flights for October.

Our wedding is not till 4th May 07.

I nknow planning sessions are usually 5 months before the wedding but do you think they would make an exception if this is the only time we can get there?

how far in advance did everyone else have their planning sessions.

I know we have nmot chosen a lot of things yet, but surely the planning session will help us to make decisions, try the food and the cake?

please help!

were they ok with you going that far in advance?

did you get a lot sorted?

had you made a lot of choices before you booked the planning session?

The timeline I have for a Custom Wedding says a planning session takes place from the 6-month date down to 4-months. they say 6 months becuase that is when the pricing can be confirmed for things like entertainment, menus, floral, etc. If youWERE able to do something at 7 months or earlier, they wold not be abe to confirm what the pricing would be. I would talk it over with your EM before you actually purchase any airfare.

i am getting married May 27, 2007 and my planning session was switched from November to SEPTEMBER b/c I fough $100 flight r/t and $59 a night @ the All Star. Couldn't beat those prices. So, they moved me..

My wedding is June 25, 2007 and my planning session is December 19, 2006. A little more than 6 mos out. I made the reservation w/ my SM last month. She was able to book the date for me relatively quickly. I would call and ask your SM. I was surpised I was able to book mine so early!

My disneyland wedding is in August of 2007 and I'm hoping to have our planning session sometime soon (like November!) too.

i have spoken with my planner and she hs said it will be fine for my planning session to be this early.

i explained that the flights are very cheap - she has checked her diary and the yacht club is available to give us a food tasting!

so an early session is possible!
