how early can you disembark?

We always get late seating and have breakfast in the diningroom since we aren't particularly eager to get off the ship, so even though we have taken 3 cruises, we have no idea what the answer to this is. This time we will be disembarking on a sunday and flying out first thing the next day and that sunday will be our one and only day in the parks that year, so we want it to be a full one. Epcot opens at 9, we want to try mission: space. What is the earliest that they start letting people off the ship? We're kind of hoping to be there at rope drop or shortly after!

The time varies depending on a lot of things, including what time the ship actually ties up at Port Canaveral and how long the Customs people on board take to do whatever it is they do. In my experience (now 10 cruises), it's usually between 7:30 and 8:00am. We're usually to the airport, checked in, and through security by 9:30 or so. If you grab an early breakfast, and everything is fairly routine and you're among the first off the ship, you may just be at Epcot by 9:00. You should certainly be there by 10:00, I would think.

Good question!!
Great answer!!

We, too will want to fly (Drive) from the DCL to WDW. Is breakfast a sit down meal or can you order room service that morning or get something from the buffet? Or would it be easier to skip breakfast, eat a dry cereal bar in the cabin or car and get something in the park?

Thanks.....twk

There's no room service on the debarkation morning. You basically have two choices for breakfast (other than the breakfast bar in the cabin option). You can eat a sit-down breakfast in the restaurant at which you ate the night before. This is at about 6:45am for the early dinner seating, and 7:30 for the second seating. The buffet is also open, so you can hit that when it fits into your schedule. Another option is to grab something at a drive-through after you've gotten off the ship and eat during the drive to the resort.

Your breakfast question has been fully answered--Topsider's buffet or the same place as your last night dinner.

The real issue is what time US Customs clears the ship. We've been able to get off as early as 7:30 or as late as 9:00 (first passengers off), depending on Customs issues. No one is off till the government says it's ok.

we left the ship at 8:15 and grabbed a bit in orlano and were at WDW in the gate by 9:45 am. but we wanted to play extra time. its all up to you. enjoy your cruise.

We had late seating and went to the dining room for breakfast. We then had to catch the shuttle back to the Radisson. We were in the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge by 10:30. I was amazed at how quickly everything went. Hope this helps.

Lloyd Dobler- did you graduate from U Maine? which school did you attend?

I went to Orono. It was "The University of Maine at Orono" when I began, but at some point became just "The University of Maine" in the late 80's.
