how early can you check in @ GF?

We are driving in on Saturday Feb 2... sometime in the early afternoon. We booked just a room that night as a full package would have been a waste. Our package officially starts Feb 3rd. HOPEFULLY and threw the grapevine I have read that there is a REALLY good chance there is a P&P party the night of the 2nd.
Since we have to check in and check out and check back in for our package (they are going to try and keep us in the same room) do you think when we get back from P&P party at midnight they will let us do all the paperwork then? That way we can sleep in and avoid the front desk rush in the morning?

What I am asking is can you check in for a package and get your tickets at midnight?

Unfortunatley you can not check in until the computer date rolls. The resort computer system goes down around 2am and comes back up around 4 or 5am. On average the earliest that you can check in would be 6am the day of check in. The system doesn't always come back up on time and even when it is back up at 4am the ticketing system is usually down until about 6am.

If you have a continuing reservation they will keep you in the same room provided the room only and the package are booked in the same categorey of room. It is much easier for them and you to not move you unless it is absolutely necessary. Just make sure when you check in for the first reservation that you mention you have a continuing reservation starting the next day so that they can double check that the room is blocked accordingly! Then you will need to go back down and check out and check back in the morning of the second reservation!

I was hoping to be able to sleep in and not have to worry about going to the desk during rush hour.
