We are Concierge level on a Disney Cruise on Dream in March. I have heard we can board early and take advantage of things before the crowds board. How early can we board (we are on a 4 night leaving on Monday after Easter)? How early can we disembark on the last morning? I am trying to think about how to book our transportation! Thank you!

"Early" is relative. You will board first. Well, unless there are Back to Back cruisers - they get to go first. Immediately after you will be the Platinum Castaway Club members, and then boarding numbers begin to be called.

Boarding generally begins around 11:15-11:30.

The big doors typically open around 7:30. That's the earliest anyone can get off. There have been recent reports that Concierge is escorted to the head of the line onboard the ship to get off. But once off the ship, you join everyone else picking up your bags, going through Customs, and getting to your transportation.

I have heard and read that concierge boards first (I've seen that happen since we're Platinum and get boarding number 1. Concierge has a private lounge with their own door to the boarding ramp, they go in before we do). Also I've read they can get off with a front of line living pass (an escort).

Apologies, though for not knowing from personal experience...hope someone who has actually stayed in concierge can answer. Hate to give secondhand information.

We were boarded first a couple of weeks ago. Then when you are doing your meet and greet in the concierge lounge they ask you what time you will want to disembark. We chose 7.20 and had to meet the concierge host by the lift at 7.10 on the morning of disembarkation. He used his key to ensure the lift went all the way to deck 3 without stopping and we were taken straight off the ship - pausing briefly to pick up some rum from the table on the other side of the doors. Our suitcase was easy to find and we were back in our car at parkportcanaveral by around 8

Also if you are concierge and are linked to other people ( say family members not in the suite), they can board the boat with you.

That is interesting because some told me that non-concierge can't board with concierge. They told me that your whole party can get group #1. I'll need to follow up to find out.

They cannot-nor can they get off early.

NO Gold KTW card--no concierge services!!

Just another example of the CMs handling the boarding making different decisions from cruise to cruise. Typically, I've read, that if the "extra" people are only a couple of people it's been allowed (sometimes). But larger groups - no.

We have done this. Its a limited number of non-concierge people who can board with concierge but it can be done.

Disembarking with concierge was the best. As was mentioned above we all met in the lounge shortly after 7 AM. Once we got the message that we were cleared at the port one of the hosts lead us out to the elevators and used his key to put it in service mode so we got to go down with no stops. He then met everyone downstairs and removed some of the security ropes and we walked right off the ship. Just one of the many perks that you get sailing concierge that isn't listed on DCLs website.

I'm a first time cruiser, what is the benefit to disembark early. We live in Tampa heading straight home, and are parking at port. Should we rush to get off or should we stay as long as they will let us?

If it were me, I'd take my time. No real advantage to getting off in the first bunch, unless you're in a hurry to get on the road.

If you need to get off right when the ship clears, then concierge will save you some time depending on how many people are in line to get off. If you have breakfast in the dining room or at Cabanas, it doesn't really save you any time. You can leave whenever you want when the line is shorter.

Interesting--we saw TWO split families last week (2 adult seniors Concierge--rest of the family on deck 8)--and the families were NOT allowed to get on with Concierge. The best they could do was come in the Concierge area for a few minutes and chat. One of the senior fellows was in a wheelchair and asked if the rest of the family could board with him and his wife--answer was no.

They told him he could leave and board with them if he wanted (he didn't by the way).

Same with getting off--he went with us via Concierge and the rest of the family got off later.
