How early can I check in at AKL?

We are arriving on 2/23 in the afternoon (4:30) staying at ASMo for that night and the next morning we are going to get a taxi to AKL for 2/24-2/27. We'll need to make the move very early so that we will have our park passes and still be able to get to AK for an 8 am breakfast PS. What kind of time should I allow to get from ASMo to AKL and will they move our luggage for us? We are going on the Springtime DreamMaker so we will not have park admission until we check in at AKL.

I have not yet booked the room at ASMo and I'm now thinking that it would just be more convenient to just stay the first night at AKL, but the cost is almost double.

in the back office with the door open and a bell on the counter before the regular CM's come to man the front check in. So you will be able to check in whenever you get there. Don't know about the time it takes to change hotels but the luggage will follow some time during the day. We moved one trip from the Poly to the Yacht Club and took a cab with luggage as we wanted to swim right away. If you haven't stay at ALK before......you will be pleasantly WOW'ed. It is only a 5 minute bus ride to AK from the lodge....... enjoy......

I checked in at 7:30 once...luckily our rooms were ready! If they're not, you can always leave your luggage with bell services until later.

I heard once that the earliest you can check in is 6:30 am. Any before that and they charge you for the previous night is what I heard, but have never seen anything "official" on that or heard it from a CM. Although, if you don't want in your room, just want to drop your luggage, can't see that it would be a huge problem.

Best advice would be to call the resort front desk directly...

We usually stay at one of the Values before staying at our DVC Resort, I have just arrived at the secound resort appx 7:00am (Did early check-in and recieved Resort ID in your case your park tickets room may or may not be ready though) and we had plenty of time to make it to the Parks for EMH. Sense you will be taking a cab I assume you will transport your own luggage so Bell Services will just hold them for you until your return from the parks and you can call down to have them delivered to your room.

If your room is ready, I would just say Thank You but don't go to the room, at the AKL the bell man will give you a tour of the Resorts as he takes you to the room and you just won't have the time. So wait until you return from the Park.
