How early can I arrive at MK?

If Magic Kingdom opens up at say 9:00 am. How early can I get in? In other words, i keep hearing get to the Castle at the ropes as soon as possible. Any suggestions? TIA!

If the park opens at 9am, you can get in at 9am. Starting at about 8:15-ish, they'll start letting people through the turnstiles and into the area by the train station, but you won't be able to get any further into the park until 9am. The "ropes" are now at the train station, not at the castle.

There is a park opening ceremony now, with MIckey and a selected family, on the train station platform overlooking the crowd.
