How early before a trip do you pack?

I usually start officially packing 4 days beforehand. I do have a little bag though that keeps my park bag, autograph books, mickey ears, etc in it. I'll do the laundry 4 days out, then pack all of it, and then stuff like cell phones, chargers, cameras, etc all go in the night before

I have had a few things pulled out of the closet and put into the pre-staging area already. This helps me to see how I can mix and match things and keep the number of shoes down. I won't finalize any packing decisions until the day before I leave because I like to keep an eye on the weather. If it looks to be cooler then I might have to re-think some things. As far as the physical aspect of packing goes, I can usually have everything done in less than an hour. I have it down to a science ;) My husband is one of those "takes too much stuff and throws it into his suitcase haphazardly" kind of guys. I don't stress over it though, because he's an adult and can pack however he wants to :thumbsup2

We travel a lot so I'm always packed.

We have duplicates of all the essentials, like: toothpaste, hair brush, first aid kit, etc. They are always in the suitcase. Similar for carry-ons.

I don't worry much about t-shirts; they're fun to buy as souvenirs.

So, to me, packing consists of counting the pills and throwing underwear in the suitcase. Takes less than an hour.

My sister is a little worse than me. She keeps a spare set of everything in her backpack. She could leave home at any time by just throwing on her backpack!

we leave in two weeks. I've been wanting to pack ever since I bought my new backpack last week and now it's finally an acceptable time frame! Oh yes, stuff will be going in that back pack. Stuff that I will be using in Disney! :woohoo:
I get way too excited about this stuff

For this upcoming vacation (in 10 days!!!), I started packing well over a month ago. I got my kids' suitcase out and packed it with all of their shorts, outfits, swimwear, sandals, etc. The only thing I have to throw in there is underwear and socks. I also took my travel "toiletries" bag and packed that with free bar of soap I got, razor, deodorant, etc. I have our backpack that we will be using in the parks, that is packed w/ sunglasses, sunblock, our Disney park tickets, our itinerary... Also packed our "Dry food" box (we are driving down) which includes drinkable applesauce, cereal, instant oatmeal, cereal bars, snack bags of animal crackers, pretzels... We will be there when the Easter Bunny arrives so I have 2 bags for them each, filled with their stuff I'm going to throw into baskets when we get down there.

We are staying at another hotel before we check in to our DTD hotel stay for the week, so I also packed an "over night" bag w/ one outfit for each of us, and cheap flip flops for the kids to wear when showering.

If you couldn't tell, I am pretty anal! ;)

What we have left to pack up is DH & I's clothes and then we are set to go! :thumbsup2
