How drunk can you get in Epcot?

Well the title says how drunk you can get in epcot and i would answer well as drunk as you get really. I think its wrong when people say if you wana drink go somewhere else its there choice and its a holiday losen up :thumbsup2

Will they cut you off or can you drink as much as you want?

Aren't you the guy a few months back that didn't have enough money for spending at Disney and was looking for ways to cut budget and make some on the side? If thats true, how can you afford drinking in Epcot?

I'm sure your kids are proud of you for sleeping in a puddle. :lmao:

Wow!

Walk with a stick lately?

Are you talking to me?
If so, go back and read his old posts. He said he was living beyond his means and needed to do work to have any money for food. He had a free vacation, but no way to eat, so he was looking for ways to cut his budget at home so they could go.
I also have a feeling from a lot of his posts, that he likes attention, and I really don't know if anything is true. I could care less if anyone drinks at Epcot or anywhere. Just don't puke on me! :thumbsup2

Hey OP can you please wear a shirt with your screen name on it so when you fall into the Epcot lagoon trying to swim to Paris I can say, "Oh yea, I remember that guy!" :happytv:

This thread is hilarious. And as far as drinking around the world, if you can handle the alcohol and have the funds to do - enjoy yourself! My DH and I enjoy havings some drinks at Epcot because there are some really good drinks!

Last summer my husband and my BFFs husband drank around the world. We started at noon with margaritas in Mexico and just took our time walking WS. I would split some of DH's beers so he wasn't drinking a whole drink in a few countries. But we also ate lunch and dinner throughout this time. And no one in our group was disorderly (well, maybe the kids before grandma took them back to the hotel while we ended the evening :rotfl:). Just use your own judgement and know your own limits - and take Disney transportation!

I did read this thread, I could care less what you think is justified! You never bring someones children into it. If you think he wants attention why give it too him? The kid comment was what got to me. I'm done, I've said my peace. I say good day! :)

If someone is going to get drunk, someplace relatively safe like EPCOT is ideal. You have the added safety in not having to drive home afterward. I drink in EPCOT, but I don't get drunk (well, not too drunk :lmao:).

As for poor behavior - the worst behaved patrons that I have come across at WDW were all stone sober. They were much worse role models for children than folks drinking and having a good time. :thumbsup2

This thread is hilarious. I personally say, to each his own, and if you've gone too far, a CM will take care of it. DH and I got tipsy on our honeymoon and had a blast. We weren't too obnoxious and we weren't driving. Personally, I see nothing wrong with that.

I've been there with my kids at ages 7 and 9, and I'd rather have them see a drunk person throwing up in a bush (that I can steer them away from and honestly explain why they're getting sick) than the guy we actually saw punch his 8-ish kid in the arm and call him a p*s*y because the kid was scared to go on BTMR. How do I explain why that guy was whacking his kid?? My kids were really upset by that - much more upset than if they saw a drunk guy and I told them he just had too many beers.

My sis and I are going in September and we plan to have some cocktails around the world - but we will split it into two nights and will not get out of control. We'll be away from our kids and hubbies on our first ever girls only trip, and we deserve it!!

Again, to each his own!!

there is a difference between "drunk" ... and "drunk and disorderly".

you may have a moral objection to someone being "drunk", but unless they are "disorderly", ie, causing a problem, starting a fight, etc. I don't see how it is your problem at all.

:thumbsup2

I agree completely. there are kids there. if you want to get drunk go to a bar.

There over 15 AT EPCOT that i can think of off the top my head. I have never seen anyone sick, urinate, mean spirited or any other negative behavior there due to people drinking. The rude and violent behavior that I have experienced has come from the dangerous stroller and ECV drivers, parents who seem to think that they the only ones in the park, and kids of all ages. The people I have met whom are having a few or more drinks have always been great and have added to our fun. If you want to be in a dry park go MK. I am sure however when people go out to places at home that have a bar or serve drinks that everyone there is violent , puking and urinating... correct:confused3

I do, often the Rose and Crown. Others like the Tequila bar or Dawa at AK. Another I love is the Tune In Lounge at DHS. There I've sat next to a 6 yo. Not everyone is as uptight about it, so deal.

:lmao: R&C one of favorite haunts outside of HM. We to enjoy the Tune In Lounge and have been seated next to people of tender years and some of not so tender ones. Can not wait until May 7th, then F&W Oct 28 :rockband::drinking1party:

I've seen a couple of folks that are just this side of slizzard. But, to get seriously hammered at Epcot, you need some serious cash, 'cause those drinks aren't cheap.

-brian, who has had some fine afternoons at the Tune-In Lounge, and also ran into (and bought a round for) some students he had in class singing as an a cappella quartet in the Rose & Crown.

Was that this past November ?

Well last time I got drunk was last night and I fell in a puddle and woke up frozen to the ground(I live in Canada). I had to take my pants off, they were frozen to the ground and walk home in my underwear.

I would call that not to drunk just a good time.

Awww....how very sweet. Your mother must be so proud!

Starting point does not matter to me (I can begin in Canada or Mexico) and am fine. I actually find EPCOT with some other non sober people to be some of the funniest experiences in Disney. ITs the one place on Disney property (now that PI is closed) that adults can be adults and enjoy multiple drinks.

I remember one time (well was told by my friend at least) that I told him to meet me in the parks and I was doing a DATW...Well, he found me sitting quietly semi-napping on a curb (I forget where) and I was crying that I lost my plastic beer stein from Germany.

Now Doing a DATW during F&W is anothe story. I completed about 10 countries in one day (including a piece of food) before I was completely gone and had to stumble back to the busses...Next day I completed the other 11 countries.

I can honestly say I've seen people sober, intoxicated and drunk but never disorderly in EPCOT and everybody seems to enjoy themselves.

As for cost, I was in Disney for F&W a friday-monday this past October. It cost me approx 500 to get some food and alcoholic beverage from every cart. I would imagine just doing drinks at the original countries would cost about 125 if you don't share.

Being from the NYC area where drinks are 9-12+ each, the prices are not that unreasonable.

Its marvelous how this thread keeps bobbing back up, like the bubbles in a Dark and Stormy (and if you can tell me where to get one at the World, I would love to know :thumbsup2)

As you know, since you were there, we have done the DATW in small and larger groups in the past and generally, I tend to share drinks. Normally, in a group of 6 or more, you can't get more than 2 people to really agree on which drink they want to order in each country. I know you and I shared at least one (China maybe?) and I shared other ones with Jim, Thommy, Sean, Kryss, and my brother (since Mike was mostly drinking beer).

With the splitting of the cost, we were really buzzed by the time we got to Canada (pics to prove it) but we were all still coherent. I think I personally spent around $60 on drinks, but again, I know we were all sharing, and I'm not counting Mike's beers in that total, since he had a margarita in Mexico, then beers in Norway, Germany, America, Morocco, UK, and Canada.

I can't wait to do it again. June it is.

 :woohoo: :dance3: Now that I'm staying at Swolphin...no busses for me!!!

Have you tried the Rose & Crown for a D&S. They might have Black seal ginger beer and rum from Bermuda.
