How drunk can you get in Epcot?

If you don't want to get TOO drunk, bring a friend and split a drink from each country. This is what we did and it wasn't so exspensive and we weren't feeling so bad the next day. There are 11 countries, so that would be 5 1/2 drinks a piece. PLENTY for us !! It's fun if you do it conservatively and not get too blotto.

As drunk as I can... :lmao:
I hate to admit, but I have been schnokered on more than 1 trip. I go through spurts where I can handle and then not so much.

I have never been kicked out, and my DH has told me that I have never bothered anyone, to his knowledge. However, he was not so sober, either.

We have done the DATW several times now, most of the time splitting the beers- but we go one way and then back. So we make it a day with the next day a sloooooooow day.

However, I know that many of you have probably seen me. I'm the girl standing at the entrance of WS, right next to Mexico, tapping my foot, waiting on LaCava del Tequila to open, open, open already!!!]

Just have fun and don't be obnoxious. Or try not to be. And let me know when you are going so I can video it for you!!!

I have a few questions. I have heard about the Beers Around the World "challenge" - 1 beer from every country in Epcot.

I am not a big "adventurer" when it comes to new beer. I have my favorite, then my tolerables. With that said, I still would like to try the BAtW but I would prefer not to be inebriated in front of my kids.

Has anyone found a way around that? Do you think the countries would give a taste of their beer?

If not how much do you think it would run me to do all 11 countries. Thanks

I always drink my way around the world at Epcot and I am a very picky beer drinker, you would be surprised just how many of the countries have Budweiser on tap.......I guess in cheat but I'm not drinking that nasty Beer they serve in other countries. I'm OK with Mexico and England but after that I'm finding a place that has Bud!

I would definitely have my boyfriend try different beers. He doesn't drink water, like bud and miller. He drinks beer like, Crooked Tree, Dark Lord, Hop Slam, anything by Three Floyds and Mikkeller. He's a big IPA guy. He's always willing to try new beer and when we go, we are definitely drinking around the world. I've shown him menus from different restaurants and he knows he won't drink the stuff from Mexico and England. :rotfl: My boyfriend drinks in moderation. He drinks to taste the flavors of the beer, not to get hammered. Me, I don't drink actually so it will be interesting trying some of this stuff.

:thumbsup2
Not to stir the pot, but first, its not a "family" park, you are not required to have a family, be a family or even like your family to enter. Second, if the park did not want you to drink in the park, they would not serve alcohol (think Magic Kingdom). What qualifies others to say it is ok, is the same thing that qualifies you to say it isn't....nothing. Live and let live :flower3:

In 2007 we had dinner at The Biergarten. My husband didn't realize how much beer was in those beer steins! Well..by the time we left the restaurant he was drunk. I mean really drunk. (He rarely drinks normally) I thought oh man we should leave the park so we started to head for the international gateway. Well....nature called and we stopped at Morocco. He came out of the restroom soaked with water. The dummy forgot to unzip let's say and made a mess. UGH. So the drunk genius thought he should splash water all over himself so it would look like he came off a water ride! OMG...what an idiot. I guess in his drunken state he forgot that there are no water rides in Epcot! We quickly made our way to the exit...drunk hubby in tow.

That makes me feel better. Had an incident with evil Thumper, red wine and white pants....ready for F&W 2011:banana::drinking1:dancer:

Will they cut you off or can you drink as much as you want?

How much money have you got? The drinks are very expensive and a lot of the mixed drinks are a bit light on the booze.

I assume that if a person begins behaving in a way as to attract security personnel, they will be prevented from continuing to imbibe and possibly ejected from the park.

We like to break our DATW into 2 days, less painful that way!!!!!! We have seen some really, really drunk people at Food and Wine. But they were not hurting anyone, just loud and having a good time. A few were using not so Disney words but I heard those same words the other night at Chef Mickey's so dont blame it all on the booze!

I'm all for having a good time but I do have a problem with the loud obnoxious drunks that scared the carp out of my kids on our last trip.

I would say that it is fair game unless you are doing something unruly (fighting, tripping over people, puking, peeing in the bushes, etc). When I was at Epcot in March '09, we rode up front on the Monorail. A well drunken guy rode up front with me, my DS and DH. I can say that I was praying that the guy didn't puke or something. Luckily he didn't, he just kind of babbled to the Monorail pilot some and didn't make much sense.
I had to wonder if they didn't have him ride up front so someone could make he got to his room ok :rotfl:

I got really tipsy on our last trip and din't plan on it! My dh and I went to the tequila tavern while my mom was with the kids in the park, we had a few shots( they had it set up where you could try and few different kinds) some were really expensive but rare. Well after a couple of shots i was lit it took til I made it through world showcase wear off I guess the fish and chips soaked it up! This was my first time every drinking at Epcot so I really didnt expect it....Those different kinds of tequila most be stronger than the typical jose cuervo

Oh man- I'm glad my wife doesn't post! Any of my didn't realize how much beer was in those steins stories would be....;)

The only bad thing about it I can think of is the hangover the next day. I can't image touring MK with a hangover trying to ride the rides and all the crowds... :scared1: What a nightmare.

Well last time I got drunk was last night and I fell in a puddle and woke up frozen to the ground(I live in Canada). I had to take my pants off, they were frozen to the ground and walk home in my underwear.

I would call that not to drunk just a good time.

I can't stop giggling about this!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl:
That is awesome!

The Biergarten has gotten my hubbie in trouble more then once. He has a 2 beer limit there after telling all those around how much he "LOVES HIS FAMILY" and over again, very loudly. He's one of those kinda drunks...:lovestruc

As far as the hangover goes take Alkezelter ( spelling ? ) not the night time one with a tall glass of water and two excedrin. It works like a charm, I may be a little slow in the morning . In the early afternoon just fine. :cool1:

Yeah, Small World with a hangover would put a quick end to any more Disney drinking overindulgences! :rotfl:

If you're a picky beer drinker, what are you doing drinking BUDWEISER? :snooty:

LOL! Just kidding. Personally, my tastes have really changed in the past several years and I prefer a much broader range than I used to. Hardly any macros for me anymore.
