How does Yacht Club conceirge compare with Poly conceirge?

In Oct. 2002, we stayed Poly conceirge, we really liked it and thought the food offerings and staff were great. Just got our ressies for Nov. and we're going to spend 2 nights at the CR tower and 6 nights YC conceirge. Yoo Hoo!!! Just wondering is the YC conceirge as great as the Poly? Do the conceirge rooms come standard and Lagoon view? TIA!!!

Been to both. The housekeeping during my stay (quite a while ago) at the Polynesian was terriable. The room was nice, but nothing to write home about (this was before the renovations). I loved the concierge lounge though and the offerings. Very relaxed. Loved the themeing of the hotel. I preferred the Polynesian. Access to monorail great.

Yacht Club had a better room (cleaner, more upscale..but also a little "stiff"... lobby no fun to me - I like the Polynesian better.) the Raved about pool was ok , but not worth paying a lot more for or stressing over where to stay , etc... unless you are going to spend a lot of time there with little kids.. The Concierge at the Yacht club was VERY crowded during our stay. I think I preferred the offerings at the Polynesian -

All in all, I give the Polynesian a better score - it is one I'd like to go back to where as "I've tried the Yacht club and that was enough".

I actually stayed both Poly concierge and YC concierge on one trip Dec. 2002. I really enjoyed both resorts. The food at the Poly concierge is more "picky eater" friendly and in my opinion there was more of it. The food at the YC is a bit more upscale, but they do have lots of yummy midday snacks that are very casual like goldfish crackers, popcorn, pretzels, etc. The lounge at the YC is much nicer than the Poly's lounge, IMHO. The staff at both resorts were equally nice, and I would gladly return to either resort.
