How does travel insurance work for DVC?

Hi everyone!

We are heading down in March, and given the possiblity of bad weather, I'd like to insure our trip.

How does travel insurance work for DVC? Our week at VWL is 270 points. If I had rented those points out, I could have gotten $11/point for them. Am I able to insure our trip for that amount?

Any provider recs?

You should have received a Travelguard insert with your DVC confirmation. They are the only company who will insure for DVC points. They reimburse $5 per point under their conditions. They look at the 60 days prior to insurance purchase for pre-existing conditions.
