Do you want to transfer in or out? You can't do both in the same year. You have to match up use year, ie, 2006 pts go into a 2006 use year. Once they are into the account, the resort usually is lost, that is, MS usually sees them as BW pts because all the other pts are BW pts, unless the castmember is motivated to do some checking. If the pts are OKW pts, and you want to book OKW, you may have to remind them that the pts are OKW. If you are renting, you may have to supply the cash up-front, so you may want to use PayPal as protection. I can't help further unless you clarify your questions.
Thank you for your info I'm new to this I have 70 points that someone wants me to transfer into their OKW account mine are also OKW both in the same year 2005. He wants me to do the transfer Monday then he will mail me a check I don't have a pay pal account What should I do any suggestions?

I've never done a transfer and we've never rented points. If I were to do it, I would want to have 1/2 of the money before I did the transfer. The way I look at it, there is trust involved, and if I get 1/2 the money, and then transfer the points, we both have to do some trusting. If I just send the points out, I'm waiting without having any real idea the the other person is legit.
I bought points and had them transferred to my account for the first time this year from a person on these boards. I sent the person a check for the amount. When he got the check, he transferred the points into my account. When I verified that I had received the correct amount of points, he deposited my check into his account.
I know there was a level of trust in that transaction, but it worked out fine!
I would certainly not wait to be paid until after the points are transferred - as you would have no recourse and DVC will not assist in any way (according to our doucments, receiving payment for transferred points is not allowed, so you'd be on your own if the money didn't come).
Many have insisted on fuill payment before transferring the points and a few have agreed to transfer after receipt of 50% of any payment and the balance after the transfer is complete- that way both parties share some risk.
At any rate, the transaction is irreversible, so there is no way to undo if something isn't to you liking later.

That really doesn't afford you a lot of protection. PayPal is free to sign up with.. they charge you afee when you wire transfer the money. Be careful and make sure you can cancel the transfer if the person tries to cheat you.
