ok guys, Mickey willing we will be DVC owners very soon (keep those fingers crossed). My very good friend is already a member, but only very recently. We were wondering about point pooling and swapping. Like when I need that one extra point and shes got it or we want to get a grand villa together at one of our home resorts (which mickey willing we will have different ones).......anyone know?

Not exactly sure what your question is. You can transfer points between contracts, The transferred points retain their original use year. If you are trying to book a GV it might be a little harder if you have different use years and different home resorts. Some DVC resorts at WDW do not have GV( BCV and WLV). If you want a GV you most often should book at of near the 11 month window. It could be a coordination problem between use years and home resort priority. Dose any of this make any sense??

Points transfers are far more complicated than most realize and the written rules don't even do it justice. The best option for most desired ressies is to book part of the request under one person contract and the rest from the other's then link them which MS can easily do. You can easily transfer a couple of points to complete that last night of a reservation though, just make sure you know what will happen with the home resort, if different, and transfer the points to the appropriate use year, if different.
