Let me start by saying we have some points to burn(I know this uses a lot of pts). Our home resort is BWV. Does this visit look a bit crazy to you(Aug 19-28).

3 nights @ Grand Floridian(Garden)

2 nights BWV(Studio-BW View)

4 nights BWV(1 BDRM - BW View)

-Do you think this will be a little to chaotic? We have to check-in for rooms and passes 3 times? It seems to look great on paper but actually doing it might be much. What do you think?

If there is kids, I'd minimize to one move (2 different places)....

Personally, I hate moving...

We just got back from our first trip "home" and did OKW for 6 nights then VB for 1 night then DDR for 4 nights - only because we booked so late we couldn't get a room for the entire stay :rotfl: Moving was a bit of a pain but it did feel like our holiday was much much longer!

We unpacked everything on the first night - and then the last day before we left OKW (1BR) I did all the washing and packed our clothes for the rest of the time into one case so we only used that and the other lot came home nice and clean. If I did a multi stay again I'd have the washer dryer in the last place so all the lcothes could come home clean!

I hate moving at all. That's why we have enough points to stay on Fri and Sat nights for every vacation home. Our normal trip is a Wed to Monday or Thurs to Tuesday. No moving for us.

As for your schedule, I think it would waste too much time packing and unpacking, personally. I don't like living from a suitcase so we really do make ourselves at home when we are in the villas. We also have an owners locker so we have many more things already in Florida waiting for us that we use each trip. I would hate to have to pack and unpack the locker over and over either.

I hate moving and would stay put in one location. You know you will have to pay $95 on top of the points for GF, right? Unless you aren't using points and are just paying cash for that stay.

I'd limit to one move at most and try for none.

Yep, BIG pain! I prefer staying put, but wouldn't mind moving once as long as the first or last stay was only a night or two. We have arrived on a Saturday and stayed in a studio for 1 night prior to moving to a larger unit, and I don't mind that, because I can pack one small case just for that night. I HATE unpacking and repacking that many times! We did it last May out of necessity, and it was a royal PITA!

:wizard: I had 50 pts. I had to use or lose by May 31st of '08. Couldn't squeeze another trip in, so I added a Friday night to my 6 day ressie at BWV. We are moving only once at the end of the trip for one night, but all ressies are at BWV. So its just a matter of wheeling the suitcases to bell services for them to hold until we can recheck in at 4p. Went from a BWV to a standard 1 bdrm., so thats why we have to move. We too will wash everything on the last day before the move. But at least we don't have to move the luggage too far!

We want to do SSR and BCV and we have 2 kids....one change is enough for me with kids but if had never tryed some of the other resorts than checking more out could be fun if you live out of the suitcase.:thumbsup2

In addition to all the packing and unpacking, I don't like being homeless from 11am until 4pm or later (sometimes much later!) not to mention all the time spent waiting in line to check in at each resort, checking bags in/out with Bell Services. I would rather spend that time doing something fun!

Wow, obviously no one likes to have to change rooms/locations. I'm hoping it's not a big deal because we are both extremely early morning people, We usually are up and showered hours before the parks open. Also, we have our own car with us so we would just have to drive over to the BWV. Last thing is that we normally take our mid-day break around 3 or 4pm so it might work out ok. Maybe it will be awful and I'm just trying to convince myself that all the angles are covered.

I guess we will see. I'll let you know at the end of August how it went.

Oh and no, there aren't any children involved in this trip.

Where are you going to take your "mid-day break" if you can't get into your new units until at LEAST 4 pm? You may be lucky and get in sooner, but you could also be unlucky and have no where to go at all for your break but the hotel lobby.

And it could also be as late at 5 or 6PM. Why not just go with one change on this trip and see how it works out? Instead of doing two changes and hating it the first time and being stuck with it the second time.
