I am so looking forward to our upcoming trip February 25th-March 4th. I am travelling with DH, and DS (16) and DS (14). This will be the first time we are going to Discovery Cove and visiting a college. I have been wanting to go to DC for years, but could not fit it into our budget. Low and behold, DC offerred a special before the Holidays for $199. Unfortunately, because they offered the promo price to the general public, we could not add on the extra park for $50...still trying to find a great deal on Busch Gardens tickets.

Since I travelled for work quite a bit this fall, I was able to use points for different parts of our trip. The good news, we saved a bit of money. The bad news, we are resort hopping quite a bit. I am trying to look at this as part of the adventure :goodvibes

Sat - 2/25 arrive 9pm - staying at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Seaworld. (free)

Sunday 2/26 - check out of hotel - go to Seaworld for part of the day and then check into the WDW Dolphin (free). Plan to watch Epcot Fireworks from the hotel or Boardwalk.

Monday 2/27 - check out of hotel (YUP...again) Go on College Tour (Full Sail University - possibly downtown Disney to catch a movie (free AMC Tickets) and eat at Rain Forest cafe ($50 Gift card). Check into Condo at Liki Tiki (used our timeshare points).

Tuesday 2/28 - Busch Gardens (if I can find a good discount) or Kennedy Space Center.

Wednesday 2/29 - same as above

Thursday 3/1 Back to Seaworld

Friday 3/2 - Check out of Condo (YUP) and head to DISCOVERY COVE. :cheer2: Check into Hilton Grand Vacation Villas. (paid stay, but I think we got a good deal thru hotels.com)

Saturday 3/3 - Seaworld or Kennedy Space Center (if we haven't done it yet)

Sunday 3/4 - morning at Seaworld. Early Dinner at House of Blues ($50 off of $100 restaurant.com certificate) followed by Concert: Drop Kick Murphys (splurged to end our vacation on a high note and to hopefully be a cool mom in the eyes of my two teen boys:cool1:)

Monday 3/5 - check out and head home :sad2:

I have been collecting restaurant gift cards from Credit Card rewards and X-mas to help with dining costs. Any thoughts from others who have gone to DC and then planned out their week with the two additional parks?

Denise

Yeah!!!!! I finally got a Busch Gardens Deal I could live with. The website is currently offerring a Special Offer for Busch Gardens called Play & Dine for $79.99.

With two teenage boys and a husband who are very active, tall and each have hollow legs...this deal is good. I was hoping to find a better deal than the $70 online special and this is it. We will definitely save $$$ on this as it takes more than $10 to feed and keep everyone hydrated all day. :cool1:

It looks hectic to me, but I have little kids, so I'm sure it's different with teenagers and moving around so much.

Have you checked out the Super Grover Pass that's available? It might save you money in the long run if you're doing SW & BG. That's the one that we are getting for our trip in April.

Have a great time!!!

Yeah, it is definitely going to be hectic. I am hoping that everyone will roll with the punches as we had freebies that helped with our trip. I comtemplated the Super Grover Pass, but wasn't sure that Discovery Cove would have been available...otherwise, I would have splurged. DC is the highlight of out trip and I was afraid to spend the $$ on Super Grover and not know if the discount applied. I hope that we have fun and enjoy all the fun and craziness :)

I definitely could not have done this when my kids were younger.
