How does this budget trip sound?

This is a solo trip.

5 nights, 6 days.

4 full park days and two partial days (arrive early AM on the first day and leave after dinner on the last day).

Use FF miles and my AP from last year.

5 nights hotel and 6 days car rental for about $400 including taxes (no gas).

Food and spending money = $200 (figuring high because I LOVE Mickey bars!!).

Total about $600.

Even for one person, I would think that only $33.00 per day for food and other purchases would be on the very low side.

Where would you be staying that you need a rental car? I say nix the car and stay at a value with an AP rate. Probably would work out to about $50.00 or more less.

As for $200 for food over six days, I can easily do that myself. I am not a big breakfast person. Prefer it simple like a piece of fruit or a luna bar. If you dine at breakfast like me and you only eat fast food, you could probably do it for $20.00 or so a day. So with $33.00 a day, I would say that would allow you a "nice" meal or two...or three, during your trip. However, if you are planning on some drinks...well, that $200.00 budget is toast.

Have a great time!!

The AP rate for a value is $59. So with tax I'm at about $65 ( I think).

I wouldn't need a car if I stayed on site but I would need Mears from and to the airport which I believe is about $27 rt.

If I stay off site and get a car, my rate is little less than the AP rate for on site. AP gives me free parking and I can come and go as I please. Plus I don't have to rely on a shuttle to the airport. In addtion to that, I have more choices with eating off site.

The spending money part isn't a big issue because I have plenty but I was just trying to maximize my accommodations and transportation with the least $$.

Just wanted to let you know that we used to live not far from you in Hatfield. We used to go up to Quakertown all the time. We used to go to a little Italian Pizza place up there that was wonderful.

Ok now I am hungry!

Ok, understand now. Have you thought about Priceline or Hotwire for hotel. If offsite is o.k., you might be able to get a decent deal. I think you can even do car/hotel combos, at least on hotwire i know you can.

In any event, I think it is a heck of a deal for a trip the way it is. If it wasn't for FF miles and my AP, there is no way I would have ever been able to go to WDW as much as I have.
