I was wondering... how does deposit/ payment scheduling work? My 8 month contract is approaching and would like to know what sort of deposit I should be expecting. (I am/will be a wishes bride if it makes a difference)

Thank you all for your advice and helpful information!

Good Morning and Welcome to the boards!:grouphug:

Once we got our Letter of Agreement (contract) we sent our $1500 deposit with it. The total cost of the wedding will be due at the 30 day mark.

Now I read a post the other day where a bride paid more than the $1500 deposit, so I'm guessing you can do that. I also know that some time back some of our "across the pond" friends paid their remaining balance early when the exchange rate for the dollar was good.

I myself will be looking to pay the balance early so that I will have that off my shoulders and can stand up straight! :rotfl:

Have you started a PJ? I would love to read your plans.popcorn::

I just asked my planner if it would be possible to make payments ahead of time. He said that many people do this and they are going to email me a payment option information sheet and a credit card form. Once you have a planner you could request this as well. :goodvibes

Our Sales Coordinator sent us the payment and credit card forms. You can fax them in too don't have to mail them.

I just sent my contract last week and I paid $4,250.00. I had the money and I didnt want to spend it anywhere else so I decided to send what I had. Now I have to pay 30 days before.

Thank you all for answering my questions!!! What great help disboards is!!

And to answer your question, I should be starting my PJ soon. I am an event coordinator and my busy wedding season is just beginning. I am going to try to set aside time let you all know about my planning process since you were all kind and helpful to me by making yours!
