Sorry for the strange question....

I have read how the tap water doesn't taste very good.... but how is the ice? I am wondering if we could fill our water bottles with ice and take them with us to drink during the day.... I can't drink water if it is warm... :confused3 and I want to make sure we all stay hydrated..

thanks

Well when we were down at the ASM, we were surprised ( and confused ) to find that the ice tasted just fine.

The ice is fine! And, when you are in the parks, just walk up to any counter service restaurant and ask for a free cup of ice or ice water and they will give you the large cup filled as requested. We did this to replenish our water bottles and to add ice to our misting fan. Saved us from having to tote more than one water bottle into the park!

Ditto! The ice and water taste just fine, especially from the cs places and it's free and they give you alot!!! There is no need to buy cases of water. Bring empty gatorade or vitamin water bottles and pour the ice in (the bottle spout is larger than a regular water bottle, so ice goes it easily), then cap and carry with you - cold water all the time!

I think I am going to pack some wide mouth water bottles and not bother ordering anything... I can pack some small cereal boxes and granola bars for breaky, and some crystal light packets.... I plan on getting us the refillable mugs too so we can use those too...

At least this way I know ill have a little room to bring home goodies when we leave LOL

Disney has good water (and ice). All you tourists wouldn't like Florida's sulfur water (perfectly safe to drink) so Disney does a whole lot of extra purification.

Yep, it is filtered, at the hotel and the eating places. I did get water over ice once, never again, the water was sulfur water, now I just ask for ice in a cup, and when it melts (very fast!!) I have Ice water!!

I saved a bundle last trip taking a water bottle and using the flavor packets. My bottle is metal, so rinsing it in the sinks was no issue - it holds no odor, rinses very cleanly. Even un-flavored, I thought the water was fine, as was the ice.

Also - I found that the fountains outside the restrooms had surprisingly cold water.

:rotfl2:Not just the "tourists" even the newly & fortunate relocated to Fl are having a tough time with the H2o taste, but I have to admit WDW H2o is not bad....of course I still carry the crystal light to go packets....just in case :thumbsup2

The ice makers filter the water. I was in St. Thomas, and the water was impossible. So I drank melted ice water, from ice from the ice machine. It was fine.
