How does the Contemporary stack up?

So my fiancé and I are planning our early December 2016 trip (originally planning a WL/GF split). We love the WL at Christmas time and the GF RPC is our favorite. When looking at prices, the GF is higher than usual and the CR seems to be better value than we have seen in years past (compared to the other Deluxe club levels).

Being that we have stayed club level @ the GF (RPC & SL), Poly, WL, and YC, it seems like a good opportunity to try the CR in addition to the WL. While we never thought it was themed as well for Christmas as others, how does the overall experience stack up?

We've never stayed at the CR so I can't comment from experience, but I am always reading great things about CR CL. I agree about the theme (it's never appealed to us either), but the more I read about it and the more pics I see, CR CL is now on our list to try (have stayed GF RPC & SL and WL CL). I know I'm not much help since I don't have personal experience, but hopefully others who have stayed there will give some input .

Its good if you are looking for convenience to WDW.. I have always wanted to stay there since the first time I rode threw it on the monorail. We finally decided to splurge and stay there this year. I may have built it up bigger than it is over the years in my head but it wasn't anything spectacular for me. The views of the park and the monorail are great but not enough for us to justify the extra money to stay in the future..
