How does the Beast meet and greet work at BoG?

In April I have an evening dinner reservation at BoG. I understand that at some point (what time?) Beast will pass through the dining room and go somewhere you can get your picture made with him.

First, do you have to get up right away (or is it best to) and grab the picture or can you just do it when you leave?

Second, how long does he stay out?

Third, what time does he appear?

He literally walks through the restaurant, without stopping, at some interval...probably once/hour. But the times and such are irrelevant if you want to meet him, because the restaurant is set up such that you greet him on your way out of the restaurant. So you eat, then meet. You exit the restaurant through the library, which is where he meets. At most you'll have a family or two in front of you.

It is different from most other character meals, he doesn't come to each table.

Every half hour or so, they play a fanfare and announce the Beast who pops into each dinning room for a quick wave...that's all at that time, he waves and turns very quickly. If you don't have a camera ready at the sound of the fanfare, you will get a photo of his back.

Then, when you are finished with your meal, you many join the line in the library to meet and get your photos with him (or just leave if you don't wish to meet him).

While you are dining you will see the Beast pass through the dining room once or twice. He doesnt stop, he just waves at everyone. At the end of your meal, once your bill is settled, you can exit via the Beast's study (the same room that holds the kiosks at lunch.) The Beast holds court there. Just get in the M&G line and wait your turn. We only had to wait a few minutes on the 2 occasions we were there. A photo pass photographer is there, too.
