How does the Anna/Elsa meet and greet work?

I haven't been at Disney since Anna and Elsa were at MK. How does it work now that they are greeting in Epcot? I've noticed there is no FP+ for it. Is the wait always crazy? What's the recommended strategy for getting to meet Anna and Elsa, do the Frozen ride and do Soarin and Test Track without waiting in lines the entire day?

My original plan was to hit Soarin and Test Track at rope drop, FP Frozen and hit the meet and greet after. Is this the best strategy?

I should add that I did up a touring plan on touringplans.com that included a FEA FP at 1pm and meet Anna/Elsa after and it said the greeting wait time would be 14 minutes. That can't be right!

The meet and greet wait times are actually a lot shorter than it ever was. There are 3 rooms of sisters in the Sommerhus and a CM takes you into one of the 3 rooms. We walked right in last trip and only waited a few minutes for the family in front of us.

Since you can only FP+ one of the three attractions you mentioned (Soarin', TT and FEA) you will need to expect some wait.

Getting the FP+ for FEA is the best bet. Rope drop TT. The line for Soarin' will be least bad. Do the A&E M&G either right before or after your FEA FP+. Line will be under 30 minutes. They have 3 sets meeting most of the time.

We recently went in November 2016 and I kept saying to my 5 year old daughter "I'm not sure if Anna and Elsa will be at Disney during our trip, they might be in Arendelle" thinking that we'd have no shot at meeting them or would have to wait in line for over an hour (no easy feat with a 3 and 5 year old lol). We had just finished breakfast at Akershus, and I was shocked to walk past the Anna and Elsa meet-and-greet to see only a 15 minute wait time! When we had first gotten to the park to head over for breakfast, the wait was listed at 40 minutes. Based on our experience (we actually only waited in line for about 10 minutes), I think when the initial park opening rush dies down, a good shot at having minimal wait time would be about an hour after Epcot's opening for the day. It's also possible that the Frozen craze is starting to subside too, which might also be a factor in the shorter wait times. Hope this helps, both Anna and Elsa were gracious hosts!

They won't let a child under 8 ride solo, generally. Not sure the age of OP's child, but that's generally a hang-up with the A&E crowd.

In November, we waited about 20 min. one afternoon. It wasn't too bad at all.

We were there early August this year, it was a 15 minute wait. Also we were in Epcot a lot as we stayed in BoardWalk Villas, everytime I walked by the wait was 15 or 10 minutes.

Nothing like the 90 minute waits I would constantly see posted when they were in the magic kingdom!!

They can actually ride alone at age 7. Kids under 7 must ride with someone 14 or older. Also, kids under 7 are not allowed into the Single Rider line at all.
