How Does Rotation Dining Work With Formal & Theme Nights?

On the Magic, how does rotation dining work with the formal, semi-formal, and theme dining nights? Could you be scheduled for dinner in Parrot Cay (I think that's what it is called) on formal night even though the restaurant is casual? If that's the case, my preference would be to have our rotation for Lumiere's fall on formal night. How would I arrange that?

Yes, that is the way it works. You will find out your dining rotation when you check in at the port and get your KTTW card. I think that you can go to guest services on the ship if you would like to request to change it but I'm not sure if you can. I know that some request changes in early or late seating.

Even if you are scheduled for Parrot Cay on Formal night you would still dress formal. Formal nights takes place in every restaurant on the same night so you would dress acordingly regardless of the decor of the particular dining room you are in.

We also like to be in Lumiere's for formal night and Parrot Cay for Tropical night but it really is the luck of the draw and DCL will not take requests for specific dining requests before sailing. As the other poster mentioned...you can request to have your rotation changed once onboard but they cannot guarantee it.
