How does Owners Locker pickup work?

I’m considering an Owners Locker. Or rather, I have been considering one for a year now.

Wondering how the pickup process works. Do you drop it off somewhere, and when? Since we use Mears, and sometimes fly out very early, I want to know what I’ll have to deal with.

What @Sandisw said plus I'll add a little more that might not apply to your scenario but might help others. If you are going to have bell services hold your luggage due to a later departure time, have them take the Owner's Locker and the luggage at the same time. They will tag the luggage for later pick up. At Bell Services storage area they will separate the locker for pick up by Owner's Locker. Also, there's a card with your name on it that you flip over to indicate you've checked out.

Love our Owner's Locker! Super easy drop-off and pick-up process. Owner's Locker notifies you when the locker has been dropped off at the resort and when it's back in storage.

My only thing is I tend to forget to remind Bell Services that we have one when I call for our luggage 🙃

We just went through this scenario - we had a 3:30 AM pick up for Mears and it was our first time using our Owners Locker.

I had stopped down the day before to ask Bell Services if it would be better to have it picked up the night before or when we were ready to leave (we didn’t need them for other luggage). They said either worked but the early AM pick up might take longer since there were fewer CMs working.

I didn’t want to chance being late for Mears (or waking up any earlier than needed!), so I just called the night before.

Bell services is usually pretty good about moving them but I will typically give a heads up that we have one when I call for help, mostly because my anxiety forces me to ;)

We too tell Bell Services that we have an OL when we call to have luggage brought up on checkin day or picked up when checking out. We also tip an extra $5+ (rounding up depending on what other luggage we have) because it’s bulky and heavy. But OL are so ubiquitous now that Bell Services doesn’t blink an eye.

BTW OL delivers to and picks up from other resorts as well as hotels in Orlando - except for the ones at Universal. The list is on their website. That makes the OL even more functional for people like us who stay in timeshares that aren’t DVC and aren’t as well equipped.

We have ours picked up by Bell Services the night before we leave since we always book early flights home. It helps to have at
least some of the stuff out of the room when I am frantically checking twelve times to make sure I didn't leave anything behind. :)
We have travel toothbrushes/paste and deodorant that we keep in my carry on to use in the am before we leave for the airport.
