How does OBB affect daytime crowds at DCA?

I’ve always gone to MK during the day on party nights for the lower crowds. Is it usually the same at DCA on OBB nights or does it make less of a difference there?

We did OBB last October on a Tuesday. We were in DCA all day and I recall it being very busy until they started removing non-OBB guests. If we did it again we'd just do OBB and either sleep in or park hop from DL.

Around 3:00 PM when mix-in starts it gets extremely busy until the party starts. We only eat or watch shows during the time. The crowds and lines are too long to do much.

The cross over time is BONKERS. We entered at 3pm last year, waited almost an hour for our mobile order at Corndog Castle, then rode Incredicoaster standby, and that was basically all we had accomplished by the time the party started at 6pm.

We’ve always found the morning at DCA to be quite light on party days (sometimes downright empty, although not during the busiest part of October). If you have a parkhopper, it’s a great day to start at DCA, but I would leave by 3 when the party guests can get in.
