How does MS handle this waitlist problem?

I currently have reservations at 1 DVC resort that I was able to get at 11 months. However, at 7 months, I want to waitlist for BWV for that one night (the CM was nice enough to check when I called at 11 months, and it was already full, so I know I'll definitely waitlist). My first choice is for a Standard View studio, but I'd even take a preferred view studio if I can't get a standard view. So how does MS handle this? I'm sure other people have waitlisted for 2 resorts-a first choice and a second choice. If I get my first choice, will they then automatically drop me from the second choice?

If you ask MS to call you to confirm that you want the room when your number comes up on the waitlist, you can tell them to leave you on the Std view waitlist if it happens that the preferred room is the one that becomes available. If they call and miss you they will leave a message and you have until 5pm the next day to call them back to accept the room. There may be a way to list your preference with auto-confirm. If so I am sure one of the lovely DISboard folks will fill us in.
