How Does Loews Treat Your Pet?

I'VE NEVER STAYED IN A HOTEL WHERE PETS WERE ALLOWED. I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THAT LOEWS IS A PET - FRIENDLY HOTEL. WHEN I CALLED FOR RESERVATIONS, THEY WANTED TO KNOW HOW BIG MY DOG WAS, WHAT BREED, AND HIS NAME. I THOUGHT THAT WAS INTERESTING. HAS ANYONE TAKEN THEIR DOG TO A LOEWS HOTEL, AND WHAT SERVICES IF ANY DO THEY OFFER,AND HOW WERE YOU AND YOUR POOCH TREATED?

We stayed at the HRH last summer with our 2 dogs. I know that they have a doggie room service menu, but we did not take advantage of it. We didn't get anything special for our dogs, but they stayed happily in the room with no problems for our entire 4 day stay.

We have taken our Yorkie twice to the hotel and our first time nothing special was done, but I think it was because the HRH had just opened. The second time we stayed at the RPR and we received a placemat and a bowl. Each morning when my husband walked the dog, everyone would greet our dog! We switched over to the PBH and received a bag full of goodies- another bowl, placemat, a can cover, different types of treats and even some Poochie cologne- which smelled very nice. Plus, as mentioned they have the special pet menu.

We are considering taking our Lab/retriever with us next year to the RPR. We just came back from a trip 3 weeks ago and saw only one dog..St.Bernard! I was surprised they allowed him near the pool area.
For thos of you that have already tken your dogs...I think I read somewhere that you receive a kind of beeper to carry along in case the dog has troubles while you are at the park..is this right?
Also, was it an added cost to ahve the dog stay? Per day?
The only thing I am leary of is if we have troubles with him..not expecting him to overly bark(unless he hears noise outside door)..but what do you do if he does cause a problem and you are already there? hmmmm
And what about maid service? Do you give them a certain time when you will have th dog out of the room so they can come in?
