Hi, i was wondering what kind of transportation is waiting for you at the airport when you arrive in disney. Is it bus service or is it car service? im staying at the asmov. we would love to be able to stop and pick waters and snacks up at a supermaket. is this anyway possible. also does downtown disney have a reasonable supermarket. thanks!!1

I'm going to pop this over to our Transportation board. I'm sure you will get some answers over there. Thanks for posting!

You have many choices. Mears Transportation is what most people use. You pay a set fee per person and share a bus/van with many other people. You wait for the van or bus to fill up and then stop at different resorts usually before getting to yours. No stops at grocery stores.

Lots of us here use Tiffany Towncars. You arrange for it ahead of time. If there are more than two of you, the price is pretty much the same as going with Mears. With Tiffany's, a driver is waiting for you at the bottom of the escalators with a board with your name on it. He'll help you with your luggage and then take you to a private towncar and wisk you away directly to your resort. If you want to make a grocery store stop on the way, you need to tell Debbie at Tiffany's when you make your reservation. There is no charge for this stop but they need to figure it in on the schedule so you must tell Debbie ahead of time. Ask Debbie for Ronnie or Ian as your driver. You will not be disappointed! Then when they drop you off at your resort, they will tell you what time they will pick you up to take you back to the airport. It will be 2 hours before your flight time. I normally e-mail Debbie at Tiffany's with my driver request and I give her my dates and flight numbers. You'll receive an acknowledgment within 48 hours. Their e-mail address is: info@tiffanytowncar.com

Also note that Mears has town cars. If you book a WDW Travel package, ask for a "Town Car Upgrade", when I used this last time I went (6 years ago), it was $50 extra, but it was worth it. The driver met you in baggage claim, and the car was parked close. It was wonderful.

This year, I'm using Florida Town Car.. anyone hear anything (good or bad) about them?

Dave

we used florida towncars once and had no problems. however, for a wedding gift several of us went together and booked on for the honeymooning couple. well, their flight was delayed out of atlanta and when they arrived the towncar was no where to be found. luckily, the groom had the cash and could get a taxi to take them to the resort. after this we have always used tiffany and have had no problems whatsoever!:p
