Please be patient. I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I have a teen and never look at posts for little ones.

I should have as we're taking my two baby nieces to WDW next month. They'll be just shy of 18 months and 3 (the older one turns 3 two weeks later).

How does it work at TS? Do they just eat off our plates? At a buffet, can the older one get her own plate? What about at a preplated (like Garden Grill)? Will they bring them a plate? I just don't want to be caught off guard. Neither are big eaters and I'm thinking it will be even less with all the excitement.

We're considering maybe picking up the DDP - but probably not. It's just a long weekend trip.

Thanks.

at TS if you order something off the menu for the little people then you have to pay for that......Like getting a childrens meal maybe and having the two share it....under the age of two I believe they can eat off your plate...but at buffets they can have their own plate....I think I remember that we did have to pay for their drinks....like milk or juice....

If it is all you can eat, such as a buffet or Garden Grill the child will get their own plate and beverage at no charge.

If it is menu service they will provide a place setting and expect you to feed the child from your plate(s). Whether or not they charge for a child's beverage is not clear; officially I think they are supposed to charge for anything orered specifically for the child, but in most instances they probably will not.

1) Correct.
2) Simple rules for "free" food for under-3
. . . at all-you-can-eat, kids eat anything for free
. . . at menu eateries, they eat off your plate, only - anything ordered is charged
. . . beverages at all-you-can-eat free; at menu eateries, optional by restaurant
