How does the star class premier compare to virgin premium economy. We wanted the extra legroom and I don't know if the seats are wider?

what would you recommened?

thanks

I have only ever been with VS but they were fab, and PE is worth the money! :thumbsup2

Can anyone help?

I've never travelled First Choice but I hear the upgraded class is great and I beliive it is significantly cheaper than Virgin?? Just what I've heard anyway :)

We flew First Choice recently from Manchester and were very pleased with them. Didn't upgrade as we felt the extra wasn't worth it and all we needed was the legroom.

Check-in was very efficient, no delays either way and the cabin crew very polite and helpful even when we ended up having to fly with all cabin lights on due to downs syndrome passenger becoming aggressive when the lights went down on the flight home.

The legroom was great and the seats very comfortable. The inflight entertainment was pretty good but you pay extra £10 for an upgrade to get the 'better/newer' package. We had two lots of window seats and upgraded one each way then hopped around to watch films.

The food on the way out was very nice - even the kids ate most of theirs. Homeward it wasn't as good - American breakfast pastry was a bit iffy, but sometimes wonderful food after a long flight like that would taste awful.

We did peep through the curtain to the Premium Class and admired the mood lighting. The seats are a litte bigger as are the screens and I gather the food and drink is a bit more civilised.

The only criticism would be the cost of the entertainment and the fact that as we flew both ways in the same month the films etc were the same which encouraged you to pay for an upgrade. The hedphones were free but if you lost them for the return flight you had to pay for a new set.

Definitely better than most other airlines and one passenger said she flew with BA a lot but preferred FC because it was a much comfier flight.

Hope this helps

Never been PE on Virgin (booked for 2007!) however, we have been upperdeck with TCD, Sunshine first with TCD, Premier Gold with Thomson and My Travel Gold and none of them come close to First Choice Premium Cabin!!!!!

Would recommend without a doubt. Most comfortable and enjoyable flight ever!!

Only problem is they have stopped flying from Manchester on a Saturday or we wouldn't go with anyone else!!!

Enjoy

General concensus from my clientele is that first choice premium is far better than vs economy and just as good as vs premium, apart from their lack of flight availability meaning you're still generally stuck to 7/14 days only they are definately getting a very good press.

We are going with First Choice Premium in October and I cant wait, even their 'standard' seats are amazing, plenty of room. I would definitely recommend them, I had a peak when we were in the ‘standard’ seats and was very impressed, and they had a therapist giving people massages! All for £149! I would not hesitate paying that again
