Hello all!

How do you buy tickets for Parks as a DVCer?

Do you still do the Magic Your Way tickets as if you were staying onsite at a "regular" Disney resort?

Is there a discount?

What about yearly passes? How much are they? What is the discount for DVC?

How do you all maximize tickets?

Thanks,

Cindy :cheer2:

Hi, Cindy. My wife and I get Premium Annual Passes. We renewed with a DVC/renewal rate last October, and the price was $394.06/each. That is roughly a $95 discount for DVC, and a $25 discount for a renewal rate.

The most economical way for us would be to purchase an Annual Pass, plus a Pleasure Island Annual Pass.
We spend the extra money as a matter of convenience, plus we could do the water parks spur of the moment if so inclined.

The Annual Passes have some other great benefits beside admission.
Quite often there are great rates on Disney Resorts, and that can pay for pass alone.
The availabilty of the DDE is another great benefit. :smokin:

We bough PAP in 2004, didn't renew when they expired. (Got 3 trips out of our PAP's though).
Getting ready to buy AP's with DVC discount to begin 5/06

Although we have had annual passes previously and we don't qualify for a DVC discount ( not yet :teeth: ) we find if we are going within the AP time frame we buy that but sometimes we'll go in June one year and August or October the next year so what we do now is buy the 10 day hopper with no expiration and use 5 days one trip spend couple of days by the pool or downtown disney and then are next trip we still have 5 days it saves money bu tit also doesnt " force " us to try to get back to get 2 uses out of the AP :teeth:

Thats just us

it is just another thing you have to plan
i went to bwv last year from 8/28-9/04 and bought an pap which started 8/28-- so this year i am going from 8/19-8/27- my trip ends the last day my pap is good

the dde is a huge benefit too as you make you money back with on etrip to victoria and alberts

One negative-- before buying into dvc, i stayed at about 8 different on site disney hotels and loved the convenience of having my park hopper automatically included on my "key to the world" room key--- it was great being able to go to the park carrying just the room key which was used for park admission, charging and everything else-- Now, the anual pass is a separate card that is not included on the room key (a little less convenient and a little more to carry)

What are all the abbreviations?

AP = annual pass - how much is it? what is the discount for DVCers
does it include water parks?

PAP = premium annual pass? how much is it? what is the discount for DVCers
does it include water parks?

Please explain any other abbreviations. Thanks.

Cindy

We just bought AP's for our April 06 trip because we have 3 trips planned between April and Dec of 06. When we've had Hopper passes, I've felt such a need to get the most out of the day that we didn't slow down to really enjoy everything. Now, with AP's, if we just want to go for the morning, I won't feel as guilty!! :thumbsup2
