How does EMM affect crowd level?

My DDs and I are making a super quick trip next month. (DDs are 11 & 8, traveling 8/17-8/21). We haven’t been since 2017 and although I’m planning on a longer more extravagant trip for 2020 to celebrate my 45th birthday, after a long and hectic year (i.e. life) I booked this short trip for us.

I usually avoid EMH but am new to the EMM and how it affects the crowds. We are doing 3 park days (HS half day upon arrival, MK & EP both full days and MNSSHP on our last night). I could swap our MK & EP days to avoid EMM but already have an ADR for Crystal Palace and the FPs both girls are looking forward to doing.

So, all that to ask, does EMM affect the crowd level?
