My husband will need to check email at least once while we're on the ship and also when we're at WDW. How does this work?

Don't know about WDW, but since I'm on the Magic right now, here's how it works.

They have an internet cafe with access and you are billed either 75 cents a minute or you can splurge on the Unlimited Plan at $89.99. Basically, if you plan on spending more than 17 minutes a day, its good to go with the Unlimited Plan. Also, the connection isn't as fast as the DSL I have at home, so it may just take longer than you think because of the connection. The other thing I noticed is that the clocks on the computers are disabled, so you can watch how long you're on.

As for checking his e-mail, he'll need to be able to access his e-mail from the internet. I have a yahoo mail account, that I use, but for work, I have a special URL I can go to and check my work e-mail.

If you have any more questions, let me know, I'll be checking in again tomorrow.

i just went to the internet cafe and sign onto my hotmail account. not a problem. just keep in mind the amount you are being charged while online on the ship. :teleport: :earboy2:

some resorts in wdw have high speed right in the rooms. For example, the Beach club now offers high speed right from the rooms. They have signs and stuff on how to use it. again, it all depends on the resort you stay at.

While on the Wonder I used the Internet Cafe and went www.mail2web.com which allowed me to check my email on my ISP's server.

I use mail2web any time I need to check my email and am away from my office.

The key is that some people have email accounts that are accessible via the web and some don't. The difference is the type of account.

If you have hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, or hundreds of other websites that allow you to check your email via a "Web Interface" then your okay, but if your husband has an account set up at work it may or may not be accessible via a web page although many corporations are allowing their employees the option of checking email via the web without the need for software like Outlook or Outlook Express.
