How does the DDP work with DVC?? What if you have an annual pass? Do you still have to buy a base ticket?? Is DDP worth it since you have a kitchen for breakfasts etc.. and what is the price?

Thanks,

The price is the same for DVC and regular cash guests, $38 per adult per night, $10 per child for the standard plan. As far as to whether it is worth it, that totally depends upon your normal dining habits. For some people it is a good value, for others it is not.

To add or delete DDP for your reservation, you must call Member Services at least 48 hours prior to you arrival at the resort. You would pay for the plan upon check-in.

There is no base ticket requirement for DVC, it is a stand alone add-on. All other regular rules apply...everyone in the room must be on the plan for the entire length of the reservation. DVC stays do not qualify for any free DDP promotions, as the require full price rack-rate cash rooms.

Just to add to Chuck S, the number of credits is based on your reserved nights of stay per reservation. I've booked a split stay, which complicates my use of the DDP (but we're going to try it!). The credits from the first reservation have to be used (or lost) by midnight after checking out of the first resort, even though the credits from the second reservation start as soon as we check into the second resort. It just means we have to stay on top of our remaining credits and keep up with the old and new room keys, as the DDP credits are attached to the keys (and we have separate park hoppers-sheesh! that's a lot of plastic to keep up with).

We will have the dining plan at OKW for two nights and then switch over to SSR for 3 nights, also with the dining plan. Once we check-out of OKW and check-in at SSR do our remaining dining credits on our OKW room keys still work until midnight? Thanks! :)

Exactly. Any credits left on your OKW ressie have to be used by midnight of day of check-out (just as if you were checking out of any Disney resort), or they are gone forever. But, as soon as you check-in to SSR, you should get a key with the credits for the new ressie, so both may be active at the same time. It just takes some keeping up with.

We used ddp the last 2 xmas weeks we stayed at OKW. It was very easy to keep track of the credits..the bottom of each receipt tells you what's left..we tallied at the end of each night before bed. We did have lot's of snack credits left on check-out day and we used them up at the store in OKW for drinks and snacks for the drive home....DH is opposed to using it for our trip this year (12/28-1/02/09) because you no longer have gratuity included and no more appetizers....I think the whole plan is way to much food anyway, but we really got our money's worth with the plan the last 2 trip(dinner at CG it self was $500+ for 5 people without alcohol)...not convinced we would with the new plan.
