Because of the DAS requirement that the card holder must ride - I have secured FP+ (the usual 3 per day) so that the rest of the family can ride and I can do something else with DGS if required. He is really looking forward to the trip but sometimes his disabilities are just so hard for him he can't cope.
How does the DAS work alongside those Fastpasses please?
Once we've used the first one can we request a DAS one?
Do we do that with a CM or at a FP point?
I'm sure this has been answered before so apologies I can't find it.

Das works best with fp, they are 2 different programs but are meant to work together so you need both. Get a das return time, while you wait to use it ride a fp attraction. When you are done with the fp ride, go back and use your das. You get the das return times from the cm at the attrsction. You can only have one das return time at a time, but once you use it you can get another, there is no limit to how many times you use it.

1 the DAS works great along side FP you can have a FP for space for 1pm and before you go you can get a DAS return time for buzz go ride space and then buzz

2 I am not sure what you are asking here? you can get another DAS after you use your current DAS, and you can have a FPand DAS at the same time for the same ride, I like to loop rides so oftenI will get a FP for say buzz and before I go ride I will get a DAS return time

3 are you asking about getting a DA return time it depends at the ride most of the time it is the FP but some times it is not

If you want to ride the same ride again, request a DAS return time when you first enter with your FP+. Ride with the FP+, and depending on wait time, you may be able to get off and back into line with the DAS.

If you want to ride something different than the FP+ ride, go to that different attraction and request a DAS return time. Then go ride the FP+ ride. Depending on wait times, you may be able to immediately go back to the other ride and use the DAS return time.

If the child with a DAS is too short for some rides, and/or won't ride certain rides, you and he can get a DAS return time for something else while the rest of the party rides with FP+ or waits standby.

Regardless of DAS use, once your party uses all 3 prescheduled FP+, you can book another FP+ one at a time.

The DAS can only have 1 active return time, so after you ride with the DAS, you can get another return time (same ride or different). You can do whatever you prefer while waiting -- maybe use a FP+, eat, shop, potty-break, people-watch, etc.

The WDW - Disability Access Service (DAS) thread pinned near the top of this forum explains how DAS works.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you for such good advice - I have cut and pasted this into my notes I will be printing out for our trip.
That's exactly what I needed to know that I could do another ride with him while the others use the FAP!

You can do another ride, but you will have to wait until your DAS time. For example, if the standby queue wait time is 45 minutes, they will give you a DAS return time of 35 minutes.

This information is in the DAS FAQS thread that lanejudy posted a link to, but if you have a Fastpass and a DAS Return Time for the same attraction, the person who scans first will determine which gets used.
Since Fastpasses have a one hour window and the DAS is valid until the park closes for that day, most people want to use the Fastpass first. To do that, have anyone except the person the DAS was issued to scan first.
To use a DAS Return Time, the person the DAS was issued to must scan first.

Thanks @SueM in MN yes I did understand that. We wouldn't have them for the same ride. For DGS sake we keep calm and won't be stressing to do too much at one time. Thank you again.
