How does booking with 2 different DVC

resort contracts work? Right now we have 300 pts at BWV.

Say I want to book BWV and I'm w/in my reservation month-October. I buy another contract for OKW in October. Can I borrow pts from my OKW contract if I have to in order to get the rooms I want at BWV?

Or say I buy a contract at OKW and can only get use year of March, how would that work when booking BWV with the October use year and possible borrowing of pts + making a reservation?

If you own at multiple resorts, the points from each resort may be used only at that resort using the 11 month reservation priority. Points from the two resorts may be combined at 7 months for reservations. If both contracts have the same Use month and are titled the same, MS is able to combine the contracts under the same membership number. With all points in the same membership they can easily be combined for 7 month reservations.

If the memberships have different Use Years (Oct & Mar) you can still make reservations using points from both resorts at 7 months. Your options then would be to reserve days of the reservation using points from each contract and have MS link the reservation together into one stay - OR - you would need to transfer points from one contract to the other in order to combine them for the reservation. If they are not combined, you could only reserve whole days using points from either contract and would not be able to combine them - ie - if you have 5 points in one contract, but need 12 points for a night, you would not be able to use the 5 points without borrowing or transferring.

We have done this for years without the need of transferring and it has worked very well.
