How does a points transfer work?

Seems ridiculous, DVC allows renting points, but allows transfers, but not for money. Of course they know owners receive money, that rule really needs to be “revisited”... but yet they require both parties to be on a call...

I think the reason is that points, in and of themselves, have no value...there is a clause in the contract that mentions that. They are simply a way of representing ownership.

You don’t actually rent points...you rent a reservation made with your points. Sure, you can offer flexibility to a renter to modify and change, but what they are getting is a reservation.

I agree they know people are getting money, but if a CM is told that, they are supposed to refuse to transfer.
