How does a code work?

I have some questions about how a code works. If a code is good for a certain period of time, for example, 12/9 through 12/22, if I book a vacation starting 12/21 and I want to stay through 12/31, does the 40% discounted rate that is available for 12/21 carry through for all the other days? Will my vacation, the entire 10 days be at the rate started on 12/21?

I've never received anything from Disney, but I am still hoping. I would love to get my family together for a vacation. It would be 7 of us, but we would get three rooms if we could get a 40% discounted rate. It would be the first time that my family has ever taken a vacation together and if we could get it from 12/21 through 12/31 for the Christmas holidays, it would be terrific.

I've been reading on this site that people are just calling and getting that discount. Is the discount attached to everyone's name or is it just the CM's are willing to try and get that person the discount. Should I try calling? Have people been able to get the 40% discount without getting an email or a flyer in the mail?

Yes what ever rate is in affect at the beginning of your vacation will carry through the entire vacation.

What you need to do is call for a reservation and mention you have heard there are discount codes available and that they were attached to certain households - ask if you have one - ask if they know anything about a code for 40% off.

Remember there is a lot of talk that thismight be a glitch in Disney's system - but it has been going on for days and I think they could have corrected it by now if it wa a glitch.
