How Do You Use Your LapTop from The Resorts?

We'll be bringing our laptop with us this vacation and just wondering how you connect to the internet at the resorts? Is there an additional fee to connecting to the internet? How do you get numbers from your ISP to use in Florida?

Anyone know?

Check with your resort-some have a connection on their existing phones in your room. We use "Global Roaming"-provided by our internet provider- Cost in Florida for us is $3.00 CDN per hour. It gets added to our regular internet monthly bill.

I used my laptop last September at a stay ay PORS. I am taking online classes so I needed access to the internet everyday. I called my dial up provider, which is Verizon, and they gave me available local phone numbers to dial into based on the hotel phone number. When I got down there I double checked with the front desk to make sure the number I was calling was local. I plugged my lap top into the jack on the back of the telephone. The hotel charged me $.75 everytime I dialed up. It all worked out pretty well for me.
