How do you use your DDP credits? So far, I am thinking of snack credit for breakfast, CS credit for an early lunch, and TS credit for an early dinner.

I like to mix it up a bit. One day I will schedule a TS Breakfast, snack mid day then CS Dinner, another day I will mix it up, Snack, TS Lunch, CS Dinner etc...you get the point lol. You are not limited to per day either, so some days I scheduled a TS Breakfast, Snack then TS Dinner, then all CS another day etc...

Some days we split a CS for Breakfast, then split a CS for lunch, use our snack, eat TS for dinner. Other days we eat CS for lunch each, always use TS for dinner... that is the best value. If, I should have snacks left over, I go shopping at the General Store...buy bags of Goofy candy at $4.00 value or packs of suckers for the DGC. I never leave a credit. I use every one. We get nuts at the snack carts, or something.

If I can't eat all the deserts, I ask for to go boxes. For the lunch CS deserts, they are prewraped, so I bring those back to the room for later. We carry a book bag with us.

I eat at restaurants that we would never pay to eat at. It has really been a fun experience for us.

Are CS breakfasts large enough to split between two adults? I would really like to use only the DDP for our meals without having to pay any more for food. Is this possible?

They are if you are planning on eating a CS lunch that day. We stay really full when we use the DDP. I never buy extra food. At lunch if they will give me a bottle water, then I have my snack for something else later. I drink a lot of water. I bring waters to WDW too, so I carry one into the park. Sometimes I use my snack for breakfast, you can get pastries Boardwalk Bakery, Mainstreet bakery, France in Epcot. It really just depends on where we are and how we feel. What property are you staying at?

We use one CS & one TS meal per day but how we do it varies. We have a hard time eating more than twice per day so some days our CS is breakfast and then we have a TS dinner. We did do one TS breakfast so we had a CS dinner. Mainly we have a CS "brunch" (or really early lunch) and then a TS dinner. It worked for us! Our snacks were really hard to spend. We had 33 total and managed to spend 11 in the parks, 4 on soda before we left, and we brought home 18 rice krispy snacks... there are still a couple of them left! :cool1:

Thank you for your input. :goodvibes We're staying at CR.

I have never stayed at CR. At WL there is Roaring Forks to get a quick bite at AKL there is Mara for the same. This is where we have split CS for Breakfast. It is not something we do everyday. Just once in a while. If we have a early dinner, we will try to eat lunch early...on this day we will not eat breakfast at all. ;)

We use our snack credits for snacks or bottled beverages. We use the majority of our CS credits for lunch and our TS credits for dinner. For breakfast, we buy muffins, fruit, and cereal bars at the grocery store and eat before we leave for the parks.

Here is what I am thinking we will do based on lots of WDW dining in the past. (Also, we have vacationed with another family that was on the DDP and observed them using it.) I can see us heading for our food court each morning to get coffee, hot tea or cocoa in our refillable mugs. There are eight of us, so I could see using one or two of our snack credits for the boxes of donuts that you can get with that credit. (Perhaps one small donut and a coffee per person) Then we head to the parks. Around 11 am we have a CS lunch. I am hoping we won't be TOO full that way for our 5:30 dinners. I can see us using the rest of the snack credits around 9 pm or whenever we make it back to our food court as late as 11 pm or so (We will take our refillable mugs with us at night, too, to drink something along with our snack of choice. On the day that we have a 4:15 Candlelight dinner I think we will use our CS for breakfast. If we were vacationing during the warmer months I am sure we would use our snack credits for beverages.

Does this make sense?

I'm thinking of ordering some breakfast items to have in the room (either gardengrocer or wegoshop.) I'm thinking cereal, poptarts-- that kind of stuff. My husband and I can grab coffee/tea in the refillable mugs. I figure that I can do a week's worth of stuff (plus water) for under $50.

Then the snacks can be icecream or whatever.

That makes perfect sense because that's exactly what we did. We made a grocery stop (we had a car service) on the way to POR and got pop tarts, muffins, fruit, cereal bars, water, milk, and oj. So we ate most of our breakfasts in the room and saved all of our credits for snacks like ice cream, dole whips, and the occasional bottle of soda. At the end of our trip, we had a handful of snack credits left so we got some rice krispie treats to take home as souvenirs. I ate one on the plane. :)

We had water delivered to the hotel and brought cereal, FiberOne bars, and GoTart bars with us. We used snack credits for milk and fruit and that's what we ate for breakfast. We typically use CS for lunch and TS for dinner. And we also stay really full from that. Although, I do plan to may change things up next year and do some TS credits for lunch. It's just such a pain to change gears in the afternoon after nap/swimming to have to get dressed and get to a bus so that there is enough time to get to the park/resort in time for your dinner ADRs.
