How do you unwind?

We didn't stay for fireworks at MK on our first trip, and the kids were 11 and 13. We meant to but saw them starting to get cranky (yes even at that age) about an hour before fireworks, so we decided to cut our losses and head out. Back at our Value Resort we ordered a pizza and ate it by the pool and then shared 2 ice cream Sundaes and watched the outdoor movie, and it was the best evening of the trip!

I get to relax when the boyz want to run around with Dad! If we're all hanging together at the end of the day, I love to sit in a hot tub with wine and watch the boys swim, shoot some hoops, or do putt putt ... and continue to wear themselves out until they DROP and sleep SO well all night!

We usually take a "day off form the parks" to enjoy the resort pool, ride the boats around the lagoons and then do some shopping at DTD. This is the "no plans" day. Which means no FP and no dining reservations.
Kids of all ages need some time to relax and just enjoy being on vacation.

1. If time allows, take a break from the parks in the afternoon and go for a swim.
2. We always do a TS dinner.
3. Grab a cocktail.
4. Take a boat or monorail ride.
5. Have a no park day, sleep in, have a character meal breakfast, and spend a few hours in DTD shopping.

I wish BC had a playground...that sounds great!

BC doesn't have a playground, but it has a massive sand bottom pool everyone can splash around and play in. (Not to mention the pirate ship waterslide! ) Best pool on property imho.

since you are a he BC:
- walk over to the BW at night, watch the street performers, have ice cream cones, maybe rent a surrey bike and/or play some carny games
- sit on the beach, and let the kids get sandy (just make sure they do NOT go in the water), watch movie & toast marshmallows
- watch illuminations from the BC/BW bridge
- play mini-golf at fantasia gardens

- walk to EPCOT for grey goose slushies
