how do you store away baby clothes, etc for safe keeping?

My DD stores hers away by size in see-through plastic bins and stacks them in the basement until they are needed. Make sure they are clean and stain free because the stains look worse after time.

Like Trip's DD, I put all of my DD's clothes in plastic bins. As she grows out of things, I put them aside in a hamper until I have a good amount of items. Then, I wash and fold the clothes and stick them in a bin. So far, I have two full bins, and I am working on a third. In our old house, I just stacked them in her closet. In our new house, I am going to use the closet under the stairs since most houses in FL don't have basements.

I also store my maternity clothes in the same type of bins.

Same here. Clear plastic bin with a lid. Then stored in my basement. They stack really easy this way. I also sorted them by season and size and I labeled the outside.

I also save mine in plastic bins, like Totes containers. So far, mine are just sorted by size. I generally just have one size per container. I don't know what I'll do if I ever have a girl, since a lot of my clothes are gender neutral. I'll probably sort by size and season.

The only ones I have ever saved were her christening gown adn first christmas outfit and those I vacuum sealed so they stay good...all the rest get sold on ebay and if they don't sell there I give them away to the clothing drive people that pick them up at your house.
