I also use the cool wraps around my neck. I got them for the whole family. The good thing about them is that you can also take them in the restroom and run cold water over them to refresh. They are really great. We get them at the local craft fair, however, I have seen them online too.
We also have a mister/fan and I also picked up two tiny fans at Walmart for the kids (have never used these yet) The fans are on a string that you wear around your neck the fan hangs about chest high and is pointed up at your face. I thought it would be nice to keep the kids cool in some of the lines.
There is a cage around the fan so little fingers can't fit in too.
As with anything around neck, you have to watch the kids carefully.
