How do you start a letter to a celebrity?

I'm hoping you'll take pity on me! I'm trying to write to some actors but I really don't know what to say to begin with. Any help would be most welcome. I promised my friend's I'd write to Mickey mouse in kiddy's writing and see if I get a reply!

Hi Rose

Can't help you with Mickey but for actors and actresses you will need to write a letter to their agents, just a short note to say why you admire them (long letters are usually binned) and that if at all possible you would like a dedicated signed photo. Not many stars will send just a photo without dedicating it to someone because these can be sold on for a profit otherwise (I get them but I sell them as part of my business but I also have to pay for them although I get to meet some of them personally which can be nice sometimes). Enclose a stamped self-addressed A4 size envelope if writing within the UK, if outside the UK you will need to enclose an International Reply Coupon for the country concerned (usually the USA). Also be prepared for a long wait as the people concerned can be very busy.

...... can you tell us what sort of celebrities they are? UK or USA or elsewhere? i.e. are the celebrities in question appearing at a theatre right now? You can write directly to them at the theatre c/o Box Office if so.

Try this for an example: Leonardo DiCaprio:

Dear Leo

Just a short note to say how much I have enjoyed your films, ever since I saw you in Titanic I have watched every film you have ever been in and I am a big fan of yours.

If possible I would appreciate it if you could send me a signed photo of yourself and dedicate it to myself (put your name here).
This would really be fantastic and it would take pride of place on my wall.

I enclose an International Reply Coupon to offset the postage costs.
