Hello single/child-free dis'ers :)

How do you typically spend your evenings in WDW?

-do you plan a later dinner and hang out in the parks until then?
-do you plan an early dinner, and then hang out in the park after that until closing?
-do you park-hop to whichever park has late emh?
-do you take in the boardwalk/dtd?

I'm trying to figure out the timing for our adr's in Jan (3 25-29year old women) and I think I'm overthinking it, but I'm trying to maximize time, but yet not feel rushed and over-planned. I've just never been (other than a few family trips to DL as a child), so I'm not sure what we'll want to be doing at night...

thoughts?

I actually do all of those, but of course on different nights :goodvibes

How many nights are you staying? If it will be 4 nights then plan your schedule so you can do a different one each night. Why compromise, your on vacation have FUN!

If I'm on my own, I do whatever feels right at a given time. Mind you I don't normally go when it is super crowded so I have so leeway with my plans.

We are going for a week at the end of Jan. I'm mostly trying to figure out what the best time is for dinner adr's. I've got them all booked, but I'm now humming and hawing over them, and think I've got the timing wrong on them with regards to potential evening plans.

I know it's Disney, and that there really is no WRONG answer, especially at the end of Jan, but still, I don't want to limit us too much. I've recently decided to upgrade to park hoppers, so that we can go to evening EMH's on a couple of the days after we're done at another park/done with dinner etc.

I like to take a break mid-day, so I'll go to the parks from 8 or 9 until about 1-2, take a nap or just relax in my room until 4, go out and spend the evening at Epcot (usually). For some reason I like Epcot best at night. I like the other parks at night, too, but maybe it's all the concrete -- it's more pleasant to me in the evenings than in the heat of day, even off season.

If I want to dine at one of the resorts, 5 or 6 is early enough to usually get a reservation, and then I'm free. And of course Epcot has plenty of places to snack.

I tend to get back to the room by 9 or 10, because part of the whole vacation experience for me is relaxation and the peace and luxury of a hotel room. A good night's sleep and I'm ready to go again!

Okay, I will warn you ahead of time. Most of the time that I go I make LOTS of ADRs and plan in general. Sometimes I keep the plans, sometimes regular having fun life gets in the way. Its okay to have a plan, but be open to spontaneity. It will make your vacation much more fun.

We do all of the above, sometimes see a movie or two at DTD, and in hinky weather we get DVDs from the resort and have mini-film festivals. Oh, and wish they hadn't shut down PI!

Well, I actually make it a sort of mixed trip usually. Hit two birds with one stone so to speak. I take the kids and the grandparents together on one trip, spend a few days with them at the park then a couple of days would be set for camping, hiking or even hunting. Usually we do it on some Acreage for sale, It's absolutely wonderful to experience camping on private land. It completes the experience.

During my first visit to WDW this past October me and my friends visited Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. We arrive in the morning and stayed until the parks closed. What do you expect for my first time at WDW? Typically when I visit DL I arrive early and stay until 9/10 PM and go out for a late dinner at Downtown Disney.

Well personally, Epcot is my favorite park, so I try to end most of my evenings there, regardless of where I eat. It's the main reason I bought DVC at the Beach Club.

In regards to ADRs, I like to make them for around 6:30 or so, even though I can eat dinner as late as 8:30. But for some reason I don't like the feeling of coming out of the restaurant and everything being closed, or closing down. It makes me feel like I missed out on all the fun! Even though technically it'd still be the same amount of time in the park, I guess I just prefer to still have a few things to see/ride after dinner. :thumbsup2
