Seriously!!

Last night I didn't sleep until 3:30am, and my daughter woke me up at 8:30, so you'd think I'd be tired. But nooo, I'm wide awake.

I'm not sure if it's excitement about the upcoming trip - or utter worry, sickening panic and dread about the fact I have to go on a plane. I actually would be quite happy to cancel the trip on the basis that I'm terrified - still!!

Anyway... any tips to help me sleep? I'm the world's biggest insomniac, and I NEED my sleep to conserve my energy for the trip!!

Getting to sleep is easy ... I'm either:

A) Flying the Millennium Falcon against a Star Destroyer
B) Wondering which players to buy for Leicester City when I when Euro Millions
C) Having dinner with Liz Hurley (again) telling her that she can see me when I'm in LA but I'm not leaving my wife and kids for her. I'm sorry, but that's the way it's got to be.

Either one of these gets me ZZzzzzzzing in no time.

If I can grab at least 5 hours I'm, normally, happy :thumbsup2

(A result of 15 years shift work as a nurse methinks ;) )

Saying that, if get less because of DH's snoring I can be pretty unbearable

DD (almost 8) survives extremely well on a good 9 hours :thumbsup2

Try horlicks :teeth: I am also petrified of flying but once the planes up in the air its not so bad :rolleyes1 Well i'm trying to convince myself anyway :)

Your going to have a great holiday and your going to need your rest so relax and try and get some sleep.

I find reading a book is a great way to feel tired and having a great nights sleep :)

Sorry, I cannot help. I was too excited to sleep this year before our trip. I ended up being up 46 hours with only one little cat nap between proper night time sleeps. Orlando just kept me going. :rotfl: I get that same feeling which you had when you were kid knowing it was Christmas the next day.

Thankfully I sleep very well. DH usually watches television before going to sleep, seems to work because he normally falls asleep half way through something.

Try to think of something totally unrelated to sleeping at all. But not too much; once I couldn't stop thinking! The thoughts got louder and louder till I had to say "Shut Up!" to myself!

I guess I could try the book idea - unfortunately my reading material is usually the Unofficial Guide to Disney 2007 :rotfl:

Last night was AWFUL. I didn't sleep until 4am!!! :( I figure I'm just on early Florida time :teeth: although it doesn't make the prospect of flying any easier - I keep seeing omens about crashes and death... it's just awful :( :( :(
