How do you sleep your toddlers at WDW?

We have tried splitting our kids up, one with dad one with me but then we don't get good sleep. This time we are bringing blow up twin beds. Hopfully we all will be well rested

We just got back from WDW with our almost-2-year-old (one more month, ahh!;)). She's been in a toddler bed (just the converted type from her crib) for awhile now, and we learned on a previous trip that she will no longer sleep in a pack-n-play (maybe if we tried hard, but it's not worth it to us). We thought about getting a toddler aerobed or portable cot or something, but decided that was just too much hassle, too (and more for our baggage on the airline!). Our room had 2 doubles, so I just slept in the bed with DD and we requested a bedrail for the other side. We didn't even request it until we checked in, and they brought it within 5 minutes of us arriving at our room (All Star Music). It wasn't the best sleep I've ever gotten because DD is wiggly when she's sleeping, but the beds were very comfortable and with how tired we all were anyway, it was fine for what we needed. I hope you find a solution and have a great trip!

I am so glad this topic came up. I have been wondering what we'll do!!!

We are going in April with DS9 and 2 yr old twins.
The twins have been in toddler beds since they were 18 mo and sleep w/ us occasionally. We were thinking of having one in bed w/ dad & one w/ me, and DS9 on an air mattress.
Other thought was to request a King bed and have all 3 kids sleep on mattresses, but will probably end up in bed with us. I looked at those cute kids mattresses & sleeping bags things.

Is there room on the floor for 3 small mattresses?
Or if we get 2 double beds, is there room for another mattress on the floor?
We are staying at AS Movies.

We stayed at AS Movies in Sept and I brought 2 twin air mattresses for my kids. We pushed one bed against the wall, and put one bed between the two double beds. Then we pushed the table and chairs in front of the windows, and put another air bed against the wall where the table was. During the day, we piled the beds on top of each other.
So it can be done.

Several people have mentioned pushing a bed up against the wall. Do all the beds move? We stayed at POP this year and I thought the beds were on bases that couldn't be moved. (We had a packnplay for our 2yo, so we didn't try to move them. I could be mistaken, but they didn't seem like they could be moved.)

We travel with our sons, 2 and 5, and we sleep one child with each parent. Push beds against wall when possible and put parent on the outside - if we put hte kids together, they torment each other and don't sleep. pirate: Also, you can use pool "noodles" instead of bedrails. Just slip them under the bottom sheet and they provide just enough of a barrier to stop the kiddo from rolling off :thumbsup2 (1 noodle, cut in half, is enough for 2 "sides" of a bed and they are lightweight and easy to pack)

I dont know about Pop, but all of the AS that we have stayed at they are on soloid bases, but they do slide. It looks kind of funny though, because the headboards on the wall stay.

We stayed at SSR and my 18mo. old stayed in the pack and play provided (I brought a soft sheet from home and her blanket), DD3.5 slept in one of the queen beds with a bed rail -- with me some nights, and by herself for a night or two. DH and I were in the queen bed next to both of them. Worked out well for us. Good luck!

Oh, thanks.

I think I just assumed if they were on the solid base and the headboard was attached to the wall that they wouldn't move. I know we've tried to move beds at other hotels (non-Disney) and they were attached. We staying there again in May, so now I'll try to move the beds if we need extra room. We might bring an air mattress. I'm not sure if my 2 yo will sleep in the pack n play again.

I also have 2 year old twins and when we stay in hotels (about 3-4x a year) we make sure to get 2 beds (preferably queen!) and each take one kid to bed with us. Our kids have had enough practice that they don't fall out, but we have done 2 things that work for us:

1) If you have access to a car and can go to Wal-mart or some other store to buy a pool noodle, you can use it as a barrier by putting it under the fitted sheet. We did this at home when we would sleep in the guest room with us when they were sick. It provided a barrier in the bed.

If you don't have access to a car, you can do the same thing with a couple of pillows (it just takes up more bed space.)

Good luck!

We requested bed rails for one of the beds. Originally, the plan was for me to sleep with DD and DH to sleep with DS in the bed with the bed rails. However, I failed to anticipate how annoyed I would be by the feeling of my daughter's toenails in my back! So, I slept with DS and DH slept with DD.

I was thinking about the same thing for our upcoming trip. My DD is only 15 mo right now and she sleeps in a crib at home --although she ends up in our bed some nights (that's a whole seperate thread lol). She'll be 19 months when we go in May and we're just going to have her sleep in the bed with either DH or myself and request bedrails. She will not sleep in a pack and play at home so I don't think she'll do it on vacation in a strange place but if she's tired enough she will sleep anywhere so maybe we should try it for a night to see what happens. We're also planning on doing what a PP said...bringing her pj's to the park with us and letting her fall asleep on the way back to the resort.
