My DH, DD (20) and DS (16) will be arriving at OKW on August 3rd - my DD and I are interested in taking some time and looking around at some of the other resorts for future trips and I am thinking that maybe she and I can check out a DVC tour while we are there? DH is definitely not interested :( but I can always relate all the info. to him. How do I go about getting this set up?

My guide is Celeste Chaffaut and she is awesome! Her telephone number is 800-827-7109. If you call her prior to arriving, she can mail you information for you to review. This will also allow you to have questions ready when you arrive for your tour. Best of luck. Keep us posted. Annmarie

You can also call the general information toll free number and they will assign you a guide and his/her toll free phone number. Information on that can be found at the official DVC site (public section):

Also, if you don't want to plan so carefully, you can do spur of the moment visits to the DVC main offices in the Boardwalk area. You can do a walk-in visit and they'll be happy to spend time with you and give you a tour of the models they have there.

If you just want more information, you can stop at any of the DVC kiosks located in every park and the DVC resorts.

Good luck!

The year we bought in we made arrangements at the DVC desk at the WL. They came and picked us up at the WL and took us to the BWV sales office after a short chat with Diana(Our Guide!!) we went and had lunch: returned and bought twice what we had talked about. Afterwards they offered to take us where ever we wanted to go!

We've always been spur-of-moment with this, and we make it a point to check out the new properties each time we go! We just wai for a "lull" in our vacation and then call -- they will come pick you up at your resort, if you wish! Alternatively, we have driven. Once we got there, we were shown the villas and chatted with the sales folks. My sister (also a DVC member) came along with us one time b/c she wanted to see the property too. I'm sure during our next visit (mid-aug) to VWL we'll stop in the BCV and check them out too....

Looney....I just saw some additional information on the official DVC member site. Here's a clip:

Disney's Beach Club Villas Model Tours
Come on by and "sea" the Disney's Beach Club Villas model rooms during your next visit. The rooms are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Just stop by the Disney Vacation Club Information Center in the Disney's Beach Club Villas lobby and folow the signs to the model rooms.

I didn't know they had model rooms at the BCV, but I should have since I did visit a VWL model room that they had open until they sold out. This would be better than viewing a model at BW because you would also sample the ambience of the resort itself.

good luck!

Our deciding to tour was spur of the moment. We were in the MK and found the office on Main Street. We went in and made an appointment. The van picked us up at Coronado Springs and that was it. After purchasing the driver drove us over to MGM. They gave us vouchers for lunch.

Good luck

Granny, when we were at OKW 3 weeks ago, the models at the BCV's were on the first floor, in rooms 106 and 108. We took a ride over there and took a look at them. They were very nice.
