Two years ago my DH and I decided it would be fun if we started a last day ritual the way we have a first day ritual. We chose to always do a big breakfast. First we ate at Kona, then Boma, and since I can't think of another that rhymes, this year we will be eating at Fresh. Just curious if there any other last day rituals out there?

We just started this last year - a character breakfast our last day. We did Cape May last time, and will do a different one this year.

The morning we're leaving, we have breakfast @ Chef Mickey's then make the loop on the monorail. This was easy in December since we stayed at CR, but we do this no matter where we stay! So hard to say goodbye :sad1:

We eat at 1900 Park Fare our last morning -- with the exception of our Easter trip - then we eat there for Easter and do something else the last morning. We love 1900 Park Fare for Easter.

Our last night is ALWAYS spent having dinner at Teppanyaki at EPCOT. We spend some time wandering around WS after Illuminations and stay up later than usual at the pool at our resort.

We go to Downtown Disney to grab that "I shouldda got" item. It started that way but now each trip we end there. I usually grab my daughter a Disney boxed lunch or snack for the plane ride home.

A bit OT but where do you get a "Disney" boxed lunch? That would be a neat thing to do on our next trip so we don't have to eat at the airport. :flower1:

We usually end it by being one of the last ones out of MK or Epcot. Last time it was MK and we just sat down near the Walt and Mickey statue in the front area of the castle and watched everybody walk by. Then when it was pretty empty, we would just quietly stroll out. We've also done it with Illuminations being the last event of the day, and we would watch everybody leave before exiting ourselves.

We always spend out last night in the Magic Kingdom. We get ice cream cones from the ice cream store on Main Street. We eat them in the area with the yellow & white umbrellas --- just soaking up the sights, sounds & smells!!!!

We don't say "good-bye." We use the last day to catch things we missed or to redo favorites, but . . .

When we exit the last park for the last time of the trip, we get a hand stamp, and as we do, I don't think "good-bye," instead, I think "I'll be back." It makes leaving a bit easier, and it's become a tradition.

I believe I got it at the Disney gourmet store, but it has changed and the last time I spotted them at a candy store so it was either the Goofy candy store or Disney's Candy Cauldron.

Basically they are clear plastic boxes with a Disney juice, sandwich, character straw, disney pretzels/fruit roll up or something. Very handy and well themed!

Well,
I always cry. Up until last year DS did too but 11 year olds don't do that. However, DH has come from not even being excited for our first trip, to being the one I though was going to cry last year. Last year we ended the trip by locking both our room cards in our room while checking out but before we had everything out!!! Don't want to repeat that one. We always do our first night stuff but have not really gotten a last night one down. We have done HDDR and that was fun!!

We spend the last evening generally at Disney Marketplace people watching, sitting on the wall around the trees in front of World of Disney sipping the great flavored coffee they sell from that coffee stand and talking about our next trip...That is if we drive.

If we fly we spend the day touring our favorite parks and then we fly out around 9pm..that is a way of getting almost another day there.

Our last night is always spent at the Magic Kingdom!
We get a great seat on Main Street curb, eat ece-cream and watch SPectromagic and fireworks.
Afterwards, we had back to resort- walk around and take one last look (we always stay on property). Morning of departure, we make it a tradition of eating mickey mouse waffles for our last breakfast at WDW and plan our return.
It is always so sad leaving.. :(

The worst part of leaving is packing the suitcases and loading the car, ugh. We usually end up in DTD on the last day, but we've also just stayed at the resort to rent a bike or something.

I agree with Inky-Dinky-Doo, I don't say good bye. I take a deep breath, think of how good this trip was, and how nice it will be when I return.

We usually do a character breakfast the morning we leave.

We usually fly out mid day, so we do a late morning breakfast & then off to the airport.

Last year we did O'Hana's breakfast.

This trip though our flight is not until 7:00pm, so we get a whole "last day" in a park!
