How do YOU pronounce the words "hero" and "zero"?

This is me - I'm from N. California, then N. Nevada and now a year in Central Texas. However my Boss and my Assistant, both central TX natives say Zee/Hee - Roh

I say it HERE-oh, ZERE-oh when I stop and think about it. But, I think that they are pretty interchangeable to my ears.

Looks like I'm the only Texan that doesn't say zee and hee, but I agree with you on vases and aunts!
