I have gotten pretty busy with my ebay selling, and am getting tired of the many trips to the post office. I would love to just print the labels right from my printer. I am getting a postal scale for Christmas, and have read on the ebay and USPS website---the ONE thing I need to know is..... (have I peaked your curiousity??)

What kind of printer paper do I use? Do they sell printer "paper" just for printing shipping labels? I know they sell those small address labels for printer, but for an entire shipping/postal label, you need something bigger.

So...those of you who print your own postage/shipping labels on your computer laser printer---please fill me in.

The thought of being able to weigh my own pacakges, print my own postage labels, and then schedule pickup with the USPS is almost MORE joy than I can stand. PLEASE help me get started!!!!!

I use 2-up labels that come on an 8.5" x 11" sheet. When using the USPS shipping labels printed from USPS Shipping Assistant or from Ebay, one side has the label with postage for the package and the other has a label with the tracking info that you can stick on the back of your auction page for reference.

Here is one of the current auctions for the labels that I use:
Labels for use with USPS, FedEx, etc.

(This is not my auction and I have no connection to it.)

Good luck,
Steve

I use my regular printer paper, nothing special. Then I tape it to the box using the priority mail tape, since I send mostly priority mail. Otherwise I use regular tape. Saves money on buying label paper!

Thanks so much for the info!!! I think I will order those self-adhesive label sheets--I'm a lazy person--I'll pay for convenience!!!

I think you will find that these are Avery 2163 shipping labels -- available from any half-decent office supply store.

I too use regular paper and old fashioned tape. Works great and MUCH cheaper!

Yep, this is what I do too. I just printed a couple of labels right before I read this. It's so great, and now you can buy insurance too, so I'll never have to go to the post office again!

Wow, I didn't know you can get insurance too without the trip! That's the best news I heard all day! :cool1:

Yeah, I had no idea either, it wasn't an option last week. But I was printing labels last night, and there was the option for insurance too!!!
